The surrounding area and the buildings in it are very pleasant. Unfortunately, the building Ray's flat is located in looks like an abandoned laboratory. The flat itself is okay, if a little smaller than the pictures make it look (especially the kitchen area). The decoration inside the flat is odd - there are strange quotes in frames glued to the walls. Ray was extremely unhelpful and didn't provide any directions to the flat, other than saying we could get a train from the airport to the city centre. The flat is not in the city centre. We asked Ray several times for information on buses from the centre to the flat and he didn't reply. The most information we got from Ray was a very long list of rules, including that absolute silence is required from 8pm until 7am.
The listing description says check in is available until midnight. Whilst we were flying to Helsinki, Ray informed us that the building would actually be locked at 9pm so we wouldn't be able to get in after that time unless somebody else left. We had no contact with Ray when we were staying and he didn't even tell us where to leave the key when we checked out. The listing also says check out is at midday but Ray's message to us said we needed to be out by 11am.
