This house was built in early 1800s before the widespread use of the circular saw, which came in around the time of the Civil War, and the wood for this house was cut the old-fashioned way. Also this house is on a plot of land once owned by George Washington's friend and secretary of War, Dr. James McHenry - for whom, of course, Fort McHenry was named.
Please note that the stair is a bit steep as it's an old historic home. It shouldn't be a problem for most but if you have someone with back or leg issue, please contact me before booking to ensure your group's safety and comfort.
- Only 1 small dog (below 20lb) is allowed. Additional fees apply.
