The apartment is located just beside the main street of Lido degli Estensi, on the third floor of a seven floor building. The building has two elevators, the small garden, the lobby, the stairwell and the corridors were clean and well maintained. The beach is a couple of streets away, around five minutes on foot. There is a supermarket just at the back exit of the garden, several gelato and pizza options are available within minutes.
The apartment's windows and balcony faces west, overlooking pineas, away from the main street, so - apart from the late night parties - it's quite. The apartment has two bedrooms, a smaller bedroom with a double bed, and a slightly bigger one with a double bed and a bunk bed. it has a small bathroom with toilet and a tiny shower, a properly equipped kitchen (stove, oven, fridge with freezer, washing machine, coffee brewer, plates and cutlery), and a small diner/living room. The balcony opens from the living room, and hosts a table with four chairs, it also comes in handy for drying towels and clothes.
The two things that we missed was the WiFi and the air conditioning. The apartment can get very hot, we measured 34 degrees, and it's hard to wind the it, as all it's windows face west. Also keep in mind that Italian power sockets are different from ours, some converters were provided, but not enough for all our appliances. And parking is scarce, so use the first spot you find, even if it's 10 minutes away.
While the water and the first couple of yards of beach is public, the next hundred yards or so are populated with private institutions. They provide playgrounds, showers, umbrellas and tanning beds, toilets, dressing cabins, for around 10 euros a day. While several families managed to avoid this cost, we chose the comfort over economy, we didn't regret this choice. To compensate for this expense, we found a pizza place that makes great pizza, and offers it at half price from 12 to 14.
We didn't manage to find a place that sold mobile data plans in the village, but there is a shopping center to the north that hosts a TIM store, offering 30GB with a SIM card for 50 Euros.
