Beginning October 10th, will be looking for long-term winter renters. Price per month is $1800 plus 1/2 heating oil (about $150 every 3 months depending on use). Minimum stay 2 (URL HIDDEN) Robert Service meets Pottery Barn! If you like real knotty pine walls, post-war metal kitchen cabinets, and a chandelier made of spoons, this is the place for you. Old and upgraded, clean and quiet. A stone's throw away from everything downtown, but far away enough to be quiet.
Just uptown and easy walking access to coffee houses, restaurants, tourism activities, state and legislative offices, dining, nightlife, and family-friendly activities. It is good for two couples, kids, and business travelers as there is a queen bed in each room. A place of your own. A recently renovated historic house - upgraded weatherization. There is a functional kitchen and a full bath. The kitchen is set up to cook for yourself if desired - with pots and pans and basic condiments and spices, coffee and tea provided, unless you'd rather walk one block to breakfast at the Baranof's Capitol Cafe or get coffee at Heritage Coffee Shop or go the other way to Rainbow Foods health food store. Electronics include broadband wireless internet, flat screen tv with dvd player and movies provided, and hdmi cable to hook your laptop to.
This centrally located home is literally steps away from Juneau's art and entertainment hub, the shopping district, a great health food store, museums, the State Capitol Building, and hiking trails that, within minutes, take you up to incredible views of Gastineau Channel. Close enough that you will be able to come home to rest or grab a jacket in between outings, whether you're catching a float plane at the dock or catching an important meeting with the Governor.
Quote is for one day - ask about week long price reductions (stay 7 days pay for 6), off-season discounts, repeat visit discounts, and 'sister' lodging in the Stone's Throw Cottage (located on the same property). Looking forward to your inquiry.

I find most people are busy while they are here but I make myself available. Often texting is a good way to check in with each other, as many people do carry cell phones with them.

Artist, traveler, long-time Alaskan, and great risk- taker. My home is in the little remote town of Gustavus, but I moved into the "big city" of Juneau to take a job. I tell folks "I'm 'In Town' for a decade". So, I've fixed my Gustavus home, renamed it as the Gustavus Getaway, and hired Lori as Manager to share my Gustavus home with visitors during the summer months. Lori and I have been friends for years and business partners in the past. Lori has been in Alaska for 29 years and I hope you love her service to you as much as I appreciate her returning as my manager! I bought a place in Juneau, along with the adjacent home, built in 1910, with the intent of renovating them for the fun of it. With the vision of putting a roof-garden on top of the cottage right in the middle of downtown Juneau (stay tuned!)!, the renovation project seems to have taken on a life of its own - resulting in the Stone's Throw Cottage. The two cottages are just asking for an adventure package to link them together via a 20-minute plane ride or a 4-hour ferry ride; still working on that. Thus far I have met wonderful people who have appreciated the two places separately - and I have appreciated hearing about, and being a part of, their traveling adventures.
