TOMBRECK is a spacious beach fronted three bedroom bungalow facing the sea with magnificent uninterrupted sea views. The large patio doors at the rear of the house open onto an enclosed shingle garden with a gate straight onto the private beach with sand at low tide that allows for long evening walks, sandcastle building and of course swimming, fishing and boating.
Tombreck is a quiet safe seaside location that is ideal for all families especially ones with young children.

Der Wohnraum

Tombreck is a 3 bedroom bungalow built on the beach. The bungalow has a large lounge diner with magnificent sea views.

There are three bedrooms;

- The 'bridge' has a large king size bed and sea views
- The 'crew' room has two single beds with a window looking over the front garden
- The 'cabin' has one single bed

The bathroom has a toilet, sink a bath and a shower. There is a fitted kitchen with gas cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and central heating boiler. Leading from the patio doors in the lounge there is a raised patio, a small enclosed garden and then the beach.

We do not supply duvets, pillow cases, sheets or towels as many of our guests prefer to bring their own, therefore guests are asked to bring ;

3 single sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers

There is ample parking off road for 3 cars. The bungalow is accessed through the front garden up some gradual steps to a small patio area then about 6 steps up to the porch door. Unfortunately access for wheelchair users maybe difficult.

Interaktion mit Gästen

Once booking has taken place our guests are left alone to enjoy their holiday. If anything should need our attention then a phone call can be made to sort the issue out.

Pevensey Bay is a small village and there is no pier, no rides, no roller coasters, and no entertainment, and we loved it. No loud music, only the sound of the waves. We have had a perfect week in this beach house. The house has suffered from the harsh sea-environment (salty wind and strong sun), maintenance is a bit overdue, but this did not affect our holiday feeling. We would not classify this as a luxury cottage, but more as a basic beach house. It is well equipped, and you wouldn´t need anything more for a relaxing holiday. We had to bring our own bed linen and towels, but this was no issue. For groceries, there is a huge ASDA in Sovereign Harbour, but we liked the local Premier better. Fish and Chips from Rose is OK and the Ocean View Bakery is excellent. We loved that our garden was actually (on) the beach, this was a unique experience for us. We were lucky with the weather, so could have breakfast and diner outside. This was superb! Sight seeing: Seven Sisters at Birling Gap, Brighton. We are still wondering who won the ScareCrow festival. It was a pitty we missed the bonfire. Communication with Simon and Sharon was OK. Good information and quick responses.

Absolutely loved the bungalow! The description Simon and Sharon provided was spot on, as it was everything my wife and I expected. It was conveniently located to several side trips we wanted to do in the surrounding area and it was so relaxing to be able to come back and relax with the door open, looking at the ocean and hearing the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach! Will definitely stay again next time we are in the surrounding area.

The house is a 3 bed bungalow with easy access to the pebble beach and sea. The more sandy parts can be reached at low tide. The property itself has its own parking spot and most of the facilities one needs. It lacks a washing machine, wifi and you have to bring all your own bedding, towels, soap, etc The main negative we had was that the house had an awful smell within every room that made it very uncomfortable to sleep in at night. It was also very dirty with dust everywhere and needs quite a lot of tlc. The local area is drab and there is nothing to visit locally - although this is nearly cancelled out by the opportunity to have lovely walks on the pebble beach. You pay for direct access to the sea and that is it.

Thank you for your review. The fact we do not supply bedding or towels is all mentioned in our listing , we do this because many of our guests prefer to bring their own. I mentioned the smell and dust to our cleaner but she said she could not identify any smell and she had cleaned just before you arrived. I think it may have been wet on the floor after children returned after a swim, the flooring is flotex and water repelant. Yes 'Tombreck' is very secluded and is not too close to the shops or cafes but the area is definitely not drab! A short car drive would have taken you to Pevensey Bay or Sovereign harbour where there are many coffee shops and restaurants. I am glad you enjoyed your walks along the beach and agree totally with you that this is what holidays at Pevensey Bay are all about.

Beautiful location right on the beach. Hosts were very good at communicating. Elderly or informed would have a problem entering the property from the front of the house. Lovely and peaceful. Accommodation is suitable for 4-5 people. Children love it there. Good amenities locally. Enjoyed our stay.

A beach at the end of the garden and everything you need for a very comfortable stay. What more could a family need?! We had an amazing time at Tombreck and were blessed with great weather too. What a gem! We will be returning for longer next time!

Fantastic location, right on the back of a stony, quiet beach. Useful small convenience store a few hundred yards away. Quiet neighbourhood and we met lots of friendly dog walkers on the beach.

Tombreck has been owned by our family since 1984. As a holiday rental property it benefits from having a number of additional features not offered by other rental properties. These include a 40" LCD TV, a large collection of DVD's, some interesting reading books and some board games, Sun loungers, countless cooking utensils and cleaning products etc.
