Our beautiful barn conversion with exposed brick, beams and log burner is a perfect place for couples to enjoy a short stay and explore the picturesque local area. The world famous birthplace of Isaac Newton 'Woolsthorpe Manor' is a short walk away and the famous 'Newton's Trail' could be easily completed with our barn as a cosy base to lay your head. Although a much loved part of our family home, the barn is fully separate with shower room, small kitchen and parking space.
A beautiful 15th century barn conversion in the village of Colsterworth. We are within walking distance to Woolsthorpe Manor (national trust) where Isaac Newton lived, a truly fascinating place. Visit the very Apple tree he sat under and enjoy the science centre and tea room. The church in colsterworth is where Isaac Newton was christened and is usually open to visitors.
Stamford and Grantham are both 10/15 minutes drive with shops, cafes and plenty to do. The village itself has a pub and co-op shop with plenty of walks around the 'Newton Trail'.
The accommodation consists of two storeys. The first contains a small kitchen with washer/dryer, oven and hob, kettle, toaster and microwave. The kitchen contains a basic level of pots and utensils so please ask if you're planning to cook up a storm, we can provide more! Although we are happy for you to cook in the barn, please be aware there's no dining room or table, a butlers table is provided.
The second floor is a beautiful barn room with beams, TV, wii and DVD player, log burner and a large comfortable leather sofa that becomes a double sofa bed. We provide a collection of DVDs and wii games for you to enjoy should you choose to. A pretty shower room completes the property.
There is separate access to the property from our house and a parking space for one car.
Please note there is no garden provided with our space but there are many beautiful outdoor spaces to explore locally, including a public footpath a stones throw from the barn. Where possible we will lend guests our membership cards to local attractions. Easton walled gardens is another fabulous day out (opening days vary).
We have young children therefore there is a child gate at the top of the stairs, useful for guests with a young child. If needed we could provide a travel cot bed and other facilities on request. The property is only really suitable for couples with one child.
Please note we can't get wireless in the barn and phone signal varies between networks. We hope guests enjoy our rural location and use it as an opportunity to switch off from busy lives! Please get in touch if you have any concerns about this.
We do ask that guests turn out lights in the property if they aren't in. There is an outdoor light that you can leave on if you need it. Thanks.

The lane to the property is relatively narrow and steep. We get a largish 4x4 down there with no problems but vans or very large vehicles may be a problem. There is roadside parking nearby should you need that.
Mobile signal in the barn is very mixed. O2 seems fine but EE is patchy.
We can offer a local food hamper for £20 packed with Lincolnshire bomber, belvoir presses and other local goodies. Just ask us and we can adjust the price as a 'special offer'.
This is our family home and although very much a separate setting, we would require guests to be respectful of the quite location.
No smoking inside the property.
Please turn out lights when out and about. There is an outdoor light you can leave on if out in the evening.
