Sammy was only reachable when I wanted to book his apartment, but after that, it was tough to get a hold on him. His friend, Andrès, made the arrangements with me for the check-in. The house looked simple and habitable in the pictures, however once I checked-in, it was dirty, had dust balls everywhere, shoe marks, a dirty bed sheet on and unclean bathroom. I asked Andrès to clean up the apartment a little bit, and he was able to remove the dust balls. He told me that he would get clean bed sheets by night, and he delivered them around 23h00, which I then put on myself. In the meanwhile, I cleaned the bathroom - toilet, shower, sink and floor. There was a cleaning fee involved in the booking, but no prior cleaning had been done, and Andrès and I spent time doing the cleaning, which is something that bothered me because I was in Montréal for a very quick stay.
I brought up these issues with Sammy, who was unresponsive to my complaints. Unfortunately, I had to take up the issue with the AirBnB team, and that is when Sammy got in contact again as well. I was satisfied with how the team managed this issue. The only advantage of this place is the location, not even the wifi, as that is slow.
