Weitere wichtige Infos
Sorry, Bentmore cottage is not suitable for guests requiring wheelchair access. The cottage has a step leading inside and one to the bathroom + the path to the deck is uneven. If you are tall (over 1.8M -5'11 feet) you may need to mind your head in the doorways - these old cottages had low door heights and as this one is Heritage listed we are unable to alter these features. It should also be noted that we can not accommodate babies, infants or children as we are not set up for them and also due to the danger of touching the wood heater, falling down steps and the proximity of an un-fenced river.
- As guests you can walk to the Wye River and explore the adjacent meadow, at your own risk - (we can not accept liability if you have an accident) . The gardens and grounds of the main house (Belmont Homestead) are our private areas however if you would like to look around these gardens feel free to ask us. Bentmore cottage is in the eastern end of Belmont's gardens 30 metres from the main homestead.
- There is a lovely wood fire in the cottage and instructions on it's safe usage are provided for your safety. If you are uncertain about using a fireplace there is an electric heater as backup.
- You have your own private deck/patio overlooking the Wye River - feel free to sit out there and enjoy the serenity with a drink and some music. It is really quiet here of a night so we would ask you keep your music volume down after 10.00PM
