My place is good for couples and furry friends (pets). We're 7 minutes off State highway 1, and 20 minutes north of Okaihau and 45 minutes south of Kaitaia. It would be a good base for exploring the far north. Downstairs is 1 double bedroom.
Kitchen, separate toilet and bathroom downstairs. BBQ, outdoor living spaces.
We're on the Orira river that feeds into Hokianga harbour, and have a jetty you can swim off at high tide or fish off. It's secluded, private and peaceful. We're a day trip away from numerous east and west coast fabulous beaches. The house is over hundred years old and has some unusual features. There's plenty of out door living spaces, with porches back and front of the house. We've got chickens, 2 pigs who have their own paddock, and we have 3 dogs . We try to grow all our own vegetables, and are in the process of planting heaps of fruit trees. We're down a no exit road so there's hardly any traffic, apart from fonterra milk trucks going to the farm next door.

Weitere wichtige Infos
We're on a gravel no exit road. We get the post delivered Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It's ten minutes drive north to the Mungamuka diary or 20 minutes drive south to Okaihau. Okaihau has a cafe, diary, 4 square, liquor store, gas station, butcher and hardware store. We usually do our grocery shopping in Kaikohe (35 minutes away) or Kerikeri (40 minutes away).
- No cooking after 9pm.
- Treat the place as if it was your own.
I'm 56 years old and own a small lifestyle property. My passion is building a sustainable lifestyle. Sustainable gardening is key plus my chickens, sheep and pigs. Because I live on a river that feeds into the Hokianga harbour fishing is important. My dogs are important too. The house is over a hundred years old and has some unique features, including a top story with a balcony that over looks the Orira river.
