Mt. Peak Bed and Breakfast is a privately owned home on a 6 acre working farm, located on the northern plateau of Mt. Rainier. We currently have one queen sized guest room available for booking, and a rustic tree house in the back yard. (To book the tree house, please see our other listing or contact us for availability!)
We are an environmentally friendly farm where you can learn about poultry raising, soap-making, canning and food preservation, and eat great farm food!

Der Wohnraum

The house was originally built in 1947 so there is always a little project or two going on around the place! As we are a busy household, we would ask that you do NOT bring pets. We already have a lot of our own, thanks! (Just ask the chickens, they think they own the whole farm...)
The property is approximately 6 acres with five of them being utilized for pasture, barn and woods/creek. A large wraparound porch covers most of the west and north sides of the house so you get great evening sun (in summer) and it's a favorite spot of ours to sit and relax with a drink after a long day. We have a fire pit on the back patio for nights under the stars that guests are welcome to use, as well as BBQ grills and a large seating area on the deck.

Zugang für Gäste

Boise Creek, hiking trails, bike riding trails, Expo center, Crystal Mountain, Mt. Rainier, agricultural sites, great little shops and eateries in downtown Enumclaw and the Plateau.
Guests can use the laundry room if need be, walk around the farm and see the animals, and enjoy the back deck and fire pit when we have decent weather!

Interaktion mit Gästen

Friendly and outgoing, always happy to teach or share farm life with you, but will respect your privacy and quiet times. Please do not hesitate to ask if we can do anything for you, or if you need some small incidental that you may have forgotten!

Weitere wichtige Infos

Our room offers Keurig coffee makers, a small fridge, and European pillow top mattresses with 1200 thread count luxury sheets. Turkish robes are available for each guest, and we carry locally sourced items in our gift shop as well. A chef lives on site so you can expect a delicious filling breakfast in the mornings!

Syvilla’s place offered comfort, hospitality and amiable conversation: From the flexible check-in and check-out, the fine scotch, the invitation to join the family at the dinner table, which was gratefully accepted, to the delicious breakfast that kept in mind dietary restrictions, things were done nicely. The bathrobes were soft! The towels bright white, fluffy and absorbent. The mattress was comfortable and the sheets soft and clean. The tub was clean and there was an enclosure instead of a curtain—nice. In the evening, there was a beautiful sunset over wide fields across the street. In the morning, there were a horse and two cows to feed apples to. A few of the chickens were very amenable to being photographed up close and the ducks, crowded by the sliding door, looked in on the breakfast room, perhaps hoping for treats. Those are the pros. To report fairly, here are the cons: The carpet in the bathroom, crisp underfoot, had one wondering if it was clean. Someone had forgotten to clean the toilette which made bathroom visits a little gross and undermined trust in the cleanliness of the rest of things. At arrival, heavy carpet deodorizer masked the smell of urine (there are friendly pets in the house), but the next morning, it began to assert itself. Overall, inside and out, the property did not give an appearance of cleanliness and cared-for-ness. Probably a result of everyone being busy, but it can’t really be explained away with, “This is a working farm.” One wonders, what the work on the farm has to do with the tidiness of the house. There was mention of a coming bathroom remodel. Likely there will be pictures in the future to show off the changes once they’ve been made. As to views: There is one tiny sitting area of the house from which a sliver of the top of Mt. Rainier is visible (most of it is obscured by trees). And, finally, the photo on Air BnB is of a different property. Something that surely should be fixed. Overall, an uneven experience. Hospitality A+++. Accommodations C.

Thank you India for your candor and your observations, we always look for opportunities to improve and make our private home and farm more welcoming for our guests. We use a green, eco-friendly carpet solution in our steamer and make it a point to treat our upstairs carpeted areas once a month, with daily vacuuming. Some guests are quite sensitive to smells, so we apologize for that. Yes, the bathroom is being remodeled beginning September 26 so we are very excited to update the listing once that has been completed! New shower/bath enclosure, commode, vanity and all tile flooring is scheduled to be installed as we had mentioned. We are looking forward to the upgrades, as this home was built in 1947 has seen many changes. The picture on the listing is a gorgeous view of Mt. Rainier as you approach the farm from the street; many people have commented how beautiful this area is and have stopped on the side of the road to capture that exact scene! You will find more pictures of the house itself if your look inside the listing at the gallery photos, but we listen to our guests and often take their suggestions! We will be swapping our listing photos so that the house is featured first, then the landscape can go back to the gallery. Great idea, and thank you for mentioning it! Please feel free to contact us at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) if you have any more comments or suggestions and we will be more than happy to talk with you about them. Again, thank you for your candor and letting us know where we have opportunities!

Syvilla's place is even better than described! She is an amazing host with great stories and great breakfast, and very accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and the location of the house was great - private, but only a few minutes from town and close to parks.

Syvilla has a lovely home. We greatly enjoyed our stay in the quaint town of Enumclaw (a perfect base camp for exploring Rainier). Our room and bed were very comfortable and we shared a great breakfast and conversations with her sweet granddaughter, Emma.

We enjoyed our stay at Syvilla's place. The location is perfect for venturing out to Mount Rainer National Park. Syvilla was a very welcoming host with drinks when we arrived and breakfasts each morning. The farm setting was relaxing and the newly remodeled bedroom was very comfortable. Nice touch to have a Kuerig coffee maker in the room for your first cup of coffee before going downstairs to one Syvilla's hearty breakfasts.

Syvilla's place was awesome. My husband and I stayed here before hiking in Mt. Rainier National Park. Syvilla has a really comfortable and well equipped guest room in her home and the tree house looks really cool, too. She made an amazing eggs Benedict florentine for breakfast. She is a tremendous hostess and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. Mark, her husband, let me feed their chickens, ducks, and cow and I thought it was awesome! We will be back!

We had a fabulous experience staying at Syviilla's bnb. The location was perfect since we had gone to MT Rainer National Park that day and this was on the other side of the mountain. Ironically we did not get to see Rainer because it was surrounded by clouds. When we got to Syvilla's farm we had a perfect view of it in the sun! Sevilla wrote to us earlier in the day informing us that we could opt to have her home cooked dinner with wine. We said yes and the dinner was superb. Breakfast was eggs Benedict and it was fabulous.

Hello! Welcome to Mt. Peak Bed & Breakfast!

A little about me in a nutshell: I was a professional Japanese chef for about 14 years and owned a restaurant in the Caribbean as well as having my own private chef service and catering business. My training leaned more toward the traditional old Tokyo (Edo) style, and while I mainly focused on Japanese cuisine, I also expanded to Polynesian (pan-Pacific), French and some Middle Eastern. My restaurant in St. Lucia featured Polynesian, Japanese and some local dishes but we also had a full service sushi bar as well. I have studied the stylings of chefs Roy Yamaguchi and Sam Choy from Hawai'i, but my big dream would be to train alongside Chef Jiro, Chef Morimoto, or Chef Nobu from Japan!

We bought our farm in Enumclaw in November of 2014 and have never looked back. This is an amazing community where we have made good friends, gotten to know and engage in business with local owners, and have really appreciated all the work that goes into running a successful farm. I feel exceptionally lucky to live in a place where neighbors help each other out, and where it has a friendly down-home appeal while being accessible to big city activities.

I am very outgoing with a great positive attitude, and have enjoyed the interactions I've had with guests from all over the world. It is amazing how good food and a warm welcome can make anyone feel right at home. It is my goal to provide an excellent experience for our guests and offer upscale amenities that you may not find at other places, as well as open up our farm for learning and interaction with our livestock.

My hosting style is very relaxed, and I hope it spills over to our guests so they feel welcome here in our home. I like to do small little things for people that are personalized and thoughtful, to show that I am listening to them. Paying attention to small details makes a big difference sometimes! After being in the restaurant and catering business for so many years, excellent customer service goes a long way.

So come on out to the farm, relax with a drink on the patio or doze off with a good book and a fully won't want to stay anywhere else!
I'm not sure if I have a life motto, but I would say this: Do as much good, for as many people, for as long as you can, and it will come back to you eventually! Life is way too short to be miserable, so do whatever it takes to be happy and content.
