No pets, no smokers (surely no drugs). no loud parties.
This is a quiet house. So no late laundry or loud chatting after 9 pm. You will enjoy the quietness here.
Talking about laundry, though we offer it free to use, Please conserve the natural resources. Believe it or not, water is more expensive than electricity in Seattle. I saw a guest just washed three pairs of socks with the washer and dryer! Please accumulate enough clothes before you wash them.
Should you use our linens & towels, we ask that you launder, fold & return them to there original location for the next guest prior to you vacating the home, if not done, a fee of $20.00 will be collected from the security deposit in order to pay the housekeeper to do this for you.

Thank you for your cooperation.

The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. Near by is big shopping centre (5 min walking). UW isn't far away either. The house is shared with six other people but there is not much contact between them. I found it very convenient that Melissa provided a bike to rent. WiFi was fast and stable, TV didn't work. All in all I felt comfortbale for a 2 week stay.

Hi Andreas: thank you for the positive review. Regarding the TV, most guests told me they do not watch TV but only use internet. I also found out we lost two cable boxes too. I do not know you want to watch TV, otherwise I would ask the cable company for more cable boxes which does not add much cost at all since we have their internet cable. The cleaning people come biweekly to clean the house and also come before each new guest moves in. Just FYI.

The room was as advertised: spare and comfortable. Good location and Melissa responded to my messages very quickly. The bathroom was really disgusting with a moldy shower curtain, a dead spider, mildew, and hair in the drain from another tenant. I'm glad I brought shower shoes.

There is central heating but 90% of Seattle apt has no AC due to the comfortable lake breeze most of the time and it is always cool in the morning and at night. This room is on ground level so it is cool most of time, we do provide fan if necessary.

The room was cozy and had a heater to keep it warm when the weather got cold. As soon as I settled into the room I noticed the fridge was not working. Apparently it was not being considered part of the room amenities, despite being included in the detailed description of the listing. Ren and Melissa were able to replace it eventually. The washer and dryer were very useful amenities. They are close to the room and can be heard when being used, so be mindful if this might affect your sleep. The wifi occasionally failed during my stay, most likely due to the rain, but resolved within 24 hours. University Village is within walking distance, and you can find anything from shopping stores, restaurants and cafes. There are bus stops close by, and the area is completely walkable with a few hills and the Burke-Gilman Trail near by.
