This 76m2-apartment offers all amenities for an authentic and yet sleek Tallinn stay, as oven-fireplaces, a sunny veranda, two bedrooms (plus another bed and a studio couch), a sauna and probably the best kitchen in the neighbourhood (60cm Miele dishwasher, 6-field-Miele-induction stove, separate Miele oven, plenty of storage space). The apartment is partly furnished with local antiques and still features the original timber piling, doors etc. from 1896. Rent includes big towels, bed linen etc.
The apartment is located in a typical Tsarist-time Tallinn wooden house in the Veerenni neighbourhood next to Moetäenav ("Fashion Street"), thus about 10-15 min walk to Old Town/Freedom Square.
The apartment has been renovated a few years ago, and new isolated windows/heating system/kitchen have been added in 2016 - but all original details have been carefully preserved/reconstructed, making the flat a truly authentic Tallinn place to stay.
The sauna (with window, quite special) reaches 100 degree within less than an hour, and it can be programmed in the morning, meaning that the sauna is hot when you return in the evening. Definitely try it out!
The veranda we used in summer mainly to have breakfast/dinner (the sun shines into it in the evening), in winter rather for recovering after sauna in fresh air.
There are a baby bed/carriage/toys available on request as well, just as a bike and various sport-, outdoor- or further cooking equipment now stored in the attic (just ask, I will get it from there for you).
Zugang für Gäste
The flat has a proper entrance from the house's courtyard, where free parking is available just next to the door (do not park on the street, it is city heart tariff, i.e. 1 Euro/hour). The flat is located on the second floor and is the only apartment in the house accessed by that staircase, meaning that bulky stuff (bikes etc.) can be easily stored on the first floor corridor as well. If you wish to keep your arrival time flexible/if I myself cannot be on the spot when you arrive, the keys will be left for you in a code dropbox just next to the house entrance.
To open the house door, please push the door while turning the key to the right - the lock can be a little bit under tension, which may require some force! Same goes for locking from inside - just pull the door a little bit.

I live with my family just a few streets away and will be always on reach by phone.
The house has been built in 1895, and although it is in good shape, standards are different than in newly-built premises: There are hardly any right angles, floors may squeak at some spots, the stairway and the main house entrance are rather introvert than representative. I employ a cleaning lady who does her job really well, but since many surfaces are slightly uneven, there can always remain some dust in cracks or holes - but this becomes only relevant if you have a dust allergy, contact me then before booking! On the other hand, the room climate is very agreeable - not too moist neither too dry, they knew how to construct human environments those days.
