Once you see the views in this beautiful lodge you will feel like you are on a true mountain vacation. The great room is enclosed by vast windows with views of the ski slopes and the towering pines. Walk out onto the deck where you will find an enormous Jacuzzi and amazing views of Big Bear Lake. With 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 baths, and a game room, you will have plenty of room for the whole group.

The entire home has custom kitchen with slate flooring, stainless appliances, granite counters, wet bar, video gaming area, pool table, fireplace, washer and dryer, outdoor barbecue, and much more. The house has vaulted ceilings, charming woodwork, slate and stonework, leather furniture, and plenty of charm to provide a great lodge feel. Our home offers 7 beds and additional sofas to sleep 13 comfortably. We also provide high-speed wireless Internet and a home theater system with extended cable, with HDTVs and gaming area. We have covered parking for 2 vehicles, plus room for two cars in the driveway.

This Lease Agreement (the “Agreement") is made by and between Mark Jansen (“Homeowner") and (“Guest") as of the date last set forth on the signature page of this Agreement. For good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties hereby agree as follows:

1. The property is located at: 43939 Yosemite Dr, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315

2.Rental Party. The rental party shall consist of Adults and Children (under age 18). The maximum number of guests is limited to 13 persons. An additional charge of $25.00 per person per night for guests over 8 will be assessed.

3.Term of the Lease. The lease begins at 4:00 p.m. on (the “Check-in Date") and ends at 10:00 a.m. on (the “Check-out Date"). No refunds are issued for late check-in or early departure.

4.Rental Rate and Fees. Rent shall be payable upon execution and delivery of this Lease Agreement.

5.Security Deposit. The Security Deposit is required to protect Homeowner from loss or damage to the Property, including the house, its furniture and other contents located on the Property. Any damage to the Property during the term of the lease or additional cleaning required will be paid from the security deposit and the balance remaining, if any, will be refunded to Guest within 15 days after the Check-out Date. Guest will be responsible for any excess cost of repair or replacement required as a result of damage caused by the Rental Party or other invitees during the lease term, and Guest shall pay the same promptly to Homeowner upon written request, provided such written request is accompanied by documentation of such excess costs of repair or replacement.

6.Rental Rules. Guest and all members of the Rental Party shall abide by all local, state and federal laws and regulations at all times in conjunction with the rental of the property. Guest agrees to abide by the Rental Rules attached as Exhibit A at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property (“the Rental Party") to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property. At the termination of this Lease, Guest shall quietly yield up the Property in good and habitable condition in all respects, as it was when the Guest took possession.

7.Liability. Guest and all members of the Rental Party personally assume all risks of property loss or damage and physical injury or death that exist or may exist in connection with use or occupancy of the Property. Guest and all members of the Rental Party release Homeowner and any other owners of the Property from any claim for damage, accident or injury that and any members of the Rental Party may sustain from use or occupancy of the Property during the term of this Lease Agreement and agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Homeowner and any other owners of the Property from any claim, action or proceeding by Guest and all members of the Rental Party, their family, estate, heirs or assigns related to a claim for damage, accident or injury during the use or occupancy of the Property.

8.Access. Guest shall allow Homeowner and their agents, upon request, to enter the property at all times for purposes of repair, improvement, and inspection.

9.Other. Guest shall not assign the lease or sublet the Property. The terms of this Agreement will be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of California, San Bernardino County.

10.Cancellation Policy: The Reservation Deposit is required upon execution and delivery of this Lease Agreement. The Reservation Deposit shall be nonrefundable and is forfeited if not used.

11.Payment: If booking through Airbnb, their payment system overrides.

12. Subject to local laws and regulations, Sections 1 to 11 of this agreement supersedes any rules. The parties agree to the terms of this Lease Agreement by accepting the rental agreement.


The city of Big Bear has the following requirements for overnight guests. Those found in violation of these rules may be subject to “expulsion" from the property or fines:

1.Maximum number of vehicles allowed to be parked on the property: 4
2.Guests will respect the neighborhood at all times and quiet will prevail from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.
3.There is no on street parking in Big Bear. The city may fine or tow vehicles that block snow plow equipment and/or are parked illegally.
4.Guests will not have open wood fires and comply with any Fire Department restrictions.
5.The City of Big Bear requires that trash is removed by the guests. You will be charged $25.00 per bag of trash that is left on this property. Put BBQ ashes in the ash bucket and leave ashes in the fireplace. Trash can be dropped at Big Bear disposal: 41974 Garstin Dr, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315

In addition, the following are house rules to ensure your own safe and comfortable stay and to provide the same for the renters following you.
6.Check-out time is 10:00 am. Failure to abide by this may result in a charge of a full days rent.
7.Absolutely no smoking permitted inside home. Failure to abide by this rule will result in full loss of Security Deposit.
8.People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight in the property. Any person on the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
9.The Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the Property. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
10. Property and all furnishings are to be kept in good order. Use appliances only for their intended uses. Household items (towels, utensils, games, etc.) are not to be removed from the Property.
11.Pets are permitted only with prior approval, payment and completion of the Pet Addendum.
12.There is no daily housekeeping service. Linens and bath towels are included in the rental rate, but we do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the home.
13.Children are not permitted to use the hot tub without adult supervision. No children under the age of 6 are permitted in the hot tub at any time. Use of any hot tub may pose a health risk. Use the hot tub at your own risk. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person. DO NOT WALK OR STAND ON COVER as it may break. Remember when not using the hot tub, leave cover on so hot tub will stay warm.
14.Guests shall not allow children to play in the side yard of the home as the home is located on a steep hill and may not be safe for children to play.
15.Roads in Big Bear are well maintained. However, we highly recommend four wheel drive and/or chains during the snow months. We do not provide refunds due to road or storm conditions.

The Check-out procedures are as follows:
•Replace all chairs, cushions, games and equipment where originally located;
•Remove all perishable food from kitchen/refrigerator/freezer;
•Place all used dishes in and run the dishwasher;
•Clean up and properly dispose of all trash in compliance with Big Bear ordinance outlined above
•Turn off all lights and leave heater control set on 60 degrees.
•Keys should be dropped off at All Protection Alarm, or if you were sent the 'alternative instructions' due to your check-in time, follow those.

We really enjoyed staying at this home in Big Bear! The home is beautiful and the pictures on airbnb accurately represent the wonderful experience we had while visiting. We spent a majority of our vacation at the home and had a fantastic time! The deck is incredible; very large with lots of seating as well as views of the hillside and the lake! We used the jacuzzi and really enjoyed it in the cooler evenings! The instructions for the property were thorough and helpful. We had a great time here and would love to come back and stay again! Thank you!

There is no denying the view. It's pretty amazing! The balcony is very spacious and accommodating for all the guests. Feels like your in a whole different place when your out there. House is nice. Everything stated is there in the house and we found everything to work/function properly for the most part. Mark also accommodated an early checkin and late checkout which was nice for everyone that came. The outside appearance when we pulled up sorta threw me off but the inside is nice and again, the balcony made up for any misconception I made have had pulling up to the house. You'll enjoy your stay for sure!

We had a great stay at this cabin. The desk was enormous and the view was incredible. It was exactly what we were looking for. The hot tub was oversized and comfortably fit 6 people. The host (Carmen) was extremely responsive and accommodating. I definitely recommend this cabin in big bear.

This place is as described. Carmen was very prompt in replying to emails and text. She was very helpful. The house was cozy and very nice. The pictures are exactly what you get with this house. Few things that i didnt like was the each bathroom only had 1 toilet paper. The towels smelled a bit. We only had 1 roll of paper towels. Didnt have any body soap for the showers. Basically the amenities were just not there for us Oh. also, we found a used condom in the drawer of the master bathroom. Really disgusting and nasty. All i got on the phone from Carmen was a "ohh, thats gross. Im sorry"

Carmen was extremely friendly and provided the proper accommodations when our party could not meet the check-in time. The space itself was clean and felt very cozy.

Mark's house was as described. It has incredible views, if you are looking for something close to town this is not the house but it overlooks the ski area and the lake and it was quiet and perfect for what we were looking for. The house is comfortable and has lost of couches. we has a group of 6 adults and one dog and we all slept comfortable (we didn't have to put an adult into a bunk bed) and never and to fight for the bathrooms. Only issues we encountered was a broken coffee maker. We were snowed in for one full day and could not have been happier.

We had a great weekend stay at this beautiful cabin. The place was gorgeous and well taken care of. The amenities were excellent and the jacuzzi maintained its warmth even in 15 deg temperatures. We will definitely be back this winter season!
