This quiet and lovely apartment, recently renewed, is situated in a building from 1929. It isn't a typical condominium flat, because the front door opens in to a large common terrace, where you can enjoy your morning caffe' in or an afternoon beer.
The living room has a dining area, a well equipped kitchen corner and a lounge area, with sofa and armchairs. The bedroom, cozy and serene, takes its light from the living room through an arched glass window. The bathroom is bright and comfortable.
San Lorenzo gets its name from one of the most important churches of Rome, the Basilica di San Lorenzo.
The neighborhood was built as a residential area for
factory and railways workers. It was heavily damaged by a WWII bombing.
Nowadays it is Rome’s students and young artists
district. Rome’s Sapienza University (the third largest in the world, by far the biggest in Europe with its 200,000 students from everywhere) is
nearby, and students, especially non Roman ones – have been choosing it for decades as their home. It is also very close to Rome’s main train stations,
Termini as well as Tiburtina.
There are a lot of restaurants, trattorie, pizzerie, macrobiotic restaurant and shop, pubs, gelaterie, lounge bars, live music venues.
If you like the night life, go out and join the "movida"! If you don't, no problem: the apartment is ideal for a quiet night of sleep.
There are groceries, (one open 24/7), pharmacies, a daily farmers market.
If you walk in the streets of San Lorenzo, you get the feeling of the real everyday roman life.
A cute, small park, Villa Mercede, loved by the residents, is steps away from my house.
The bus lines 492 and 71 go to the center (Piazza Colonna, Largo di Torre Argentina, Vaticano)
The tram line 3 goes to San Giovanni, Colosseo, Circo Massimo, Trastevere.

Hi, I'm a retired teacher. I like to make myself always busy: I love crafting, painting, going to concerts and plays, reading, spending time with my granddaughter and, of course, traveling.
