This 1927 duplex has been my home for 15 years. Only 24 blocks from the river and downtown, close to bustling Belmont/Hawthorne districts, but well away from the fray. Please note: The AC is only in the upstairs/bedrooms. Not in the living room/dining room/kitchen.
A quiet, tree-lined neighborhood of older homes, lots of families. Parks nearby.
Walking distance to several markets, bars and restaurants, and myriad shops. Street parking is plentiful.
This home has great light, and is kid-friendly. We have books, games, toys and art supplies.
We also have a set of bicycles for guest use.
Typically I am very laissez-faire. You have complete privacy.
I love the crazy varieties of moss growing in Portland, the eruption of flowers in springtime, and the lazy days of summer. You don't have to drive in this neighborhood, and it's a quick trip to anywhere in the city because of it's central location.
Zugang für Gäste
You have access to the laundry room, just down the back stairs.
Interaktion mit Gästen
I'm fairly laissez-faire, but I'm right next door... I prefer to at least meet you!

I am a single mother of one great kid. With a background in hospitality and a long-held interest in interior design, hosting is a natural fit. I write fiction and nonfiction in my spare time, and I've owned my duplex for 15 years. Moved to Portland in 1994.
