Welcome to The Cottage Cheese! This is our family's up north get-away. Public boat & beach access to Mullet & Burt Lakes - walking distance (5 minutes). Single family home with one bedroom on main floor and one upstairs + a small sleeping space. Open main floor layout. WiFi & one TV with Amazon Fire TV ( Netflix and Hulu.) Large bathroom with washer & dryer. Small patio with gas grill. Semi-finished basement with storage & entry into house. Two ample parking spaces for vehicles.
The house DOES NOT have AC - but there are plenty of box fans throughout the house.
We DO NOT have a dishwasher!
We entertain 8-10 people on the main floor comfortably. It is roomier than the photos show.
The dining room tables extends to fit 6 people. The additional leaves are in the TV room closet.
Great basement for storing bikes, water stuff etc. for longer stays or for our winter enthusiast/snowmobile crowd.

Use gas grill at medium heat & below - high heat may melt the handle. If the tank is low, we have a spare in the basement.
If you have more than 4 people, our water heater may take time to refill depending # and length of showers. We suggest staggering showers so that everyone has a enough hot water.
Boat Parking - We have a third parking near the basement for a boat (up to 23 feet), trailer, jet skis or campers/RV vehicles (please email to confirm size).
- HOUSE RULES Upon checking in you will find a binder entitled “Welcome to 5226 Crescent” on kitchen counter. This book clearly sets forth our basic House Rules, and by booking with us you are agreeing to both read and comply with these simple House Rules during your stay. 1. Smoking is allowed outside only. Cigarette butts must not be left on the premises. 2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. 3. This home is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. 5. Only use appliances for their intended uses. 6. Pets are NOT allowed. 7. Parking: Parking is limited to 3 vehicles. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Those parking areas are 1. the driveway off Topinabee Mail Trail Rd; 2. the basement door spot; and 3. the spot by the main door entrance off of Crescent St. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. NO PARKING ON LAWN. 8. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included with your rental, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. There is a washer and dryer on the premises. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the home. 9. Water and Septic: The house is on a well and septic system. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products or baby/wet wipes should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products or baby/wet wipes have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to $1000. 10. Inclement Weather: No refunds will be given for storms and/or road conditions. 11. Neighbors: Guests must be respectful and courteous of neighbors (My parents live behind the property.) Guests may not use any portion of neighboring properties (There are trees and/or bushes clearly marking the property line). Noise must be kept to a minimum past 11pm. 12. Garbage: It is the Guest’s responsibility to remove all garbage and recycling from the premises upon checkout. Trash and recycling receptacles are available near the front porch. Failure to remove your garbage will result in a $25 garbage removal fee.
