We (a couple) thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would book the same place if we returned. The apartment was very clean, spacious, with a large fully-equiped kitchen, bathroom, large bedroom (with window views) and small balcony with stunning views of the ocean. Riomaggiore was a nice village and this apartment was on the 'quiet side' of town...which was enjoyable to return to for an afternoon balcony drink after facing crowds during the daytime. Mrs Gianna was the key contact who spoke Italian - we only speak english but it didnt matter at all, we were able to communicate the necessities. I encourage anyone considering this place to book it.

The apartment is in a great location and with a lovely view. The stairs from the entrance to the flat are a challenge if one has heavy luggage. It was clean and well maintained. The train noise can be a bit annoying but honestly one hardly ends up being indoors in cinque Terre. Eugenio was responsive and helped coordinate with the actual host/flat owner. The owner Mrs Gianni was kind enough to let us extend our check out by an hour due to our train timing. Overall Riomaggiore is a great choice to stay in Cinque Terre.

This was a great place to stay! It is on the quieter side of Riomaggiore, and easily accessible from the train station (just walk up the main road; much better pavement for wheeled suitcases than, eg NYC!). Gianna is very nice, and although she speaks basically no English her husband does. Both were very helpful with the minor requests we had (a sharp knife to cook, eg). The balcony is even nicer than it looks; a beautiful place for breakfast or a pre-dinner drink (the neighbors are right thru the wicker screen, but they are quiet even when also eating dinner outside). The bed is fine, the hot water inexaustible and hot, the water pressure strong. Ventilation is good (there are no screens in this part of the world, but not really needed in Sept when we were there). We could close the bedroom window (there is a good ceiling fan) and had no trouble sleeping; we would guess that you will want earplugs to block the train in mid-summer. There is an excellent pizza place (K&pris) on the road up from the train station, and a classy restaurant near the port (Rio Bistrot; reserve, not cheap). We never could get a table at Fuori Rotta (no reservations), and Ripa del Sole was closed for illness when we were there. Dal Billy in Manarola is worth reserving (casual, very good food). On a rainy day, take the train to La Spezia and visit the museums (there is a pass for all but the Nautical one); esp check out the Museo del Sigillo, and the adjacent Amedeo Lia. The modern art museum is modest but interesting; and there are lots of restaurants there too. For hikers: One can access the #501 trail to reach the road to walk to Manarola (thru the tunnel, beside the road and then down the #532 to town (unfortunately at this time the direct, #531 trail is closed). The walk up to the Sanctuary starts from the top right-hand corner of the town's streets, and takes about an hour; there is a steep trail back down, which ends near the harbor. There are two small grocery stores in the main part of town, sufficient to make your own dinners etc, and wine and beer are available easily.

I booked this property mainly for the balcony and location and neither disappointed! Just up the road from the train station, making it very easy to hop on trains to other Cinque Terre towns (there is a little noise from the train but you get used to it). Also only about a 5 min walk to the main road in Riomaggiore. We enjoyed relaxing in this quaint village and the wonderful views from the apartment made our meals that much more enjoyable.

The view is gorgeous!! We watched the sun rise and set everyday :) The apartment was very clean and although we didn't get to meet Eugenio, his neighbor downstairs who checked us in was very sweet. She doesn't speak English so be patient with her when communicating. A few things to note: You have to walk up-hill after you leave the train station, and then up alot of stairs. BUT the view is worth it!

Born in 1975 grew up in the Cinque Terre, a unique scenic monument created by the manual skills of whole generations; in the 90s university studies at Florence - which in those years was the most international town imaginable for young people - a colorful mix of dozens of languages and lifestyles. The respect for the work of his ancestors and the fascination he finds in the meeting of several points of view are some of the deciding elements for the foundation of Arbaspàa Tour Operator in summer 2001. The valorization of the work of our suppliers and colleagues on one side and the great attention to the expectations of the clients on the other are the two main columns of his work.
