Weitere wichtige Infos
The property is an active beef and sheep grazing property with livestock as well as wildlife (kangaroos, wombats, the occasional deer and some very interesting insects).
- In consideration for guests in the other cottage we ask you to keep entertainment noise (TV, radio, etc) to a respectable level and down by 10pm.
- Please remove your shoes before entering the house.
- As the property is a rural working farm we ask that as you move around the property you use gates not climb over fences as you move around the property and leave gates as you found them (closed, close them/open, leave them open). We also ask that you respect the livestock and move gently around them.

Alister and Alison have recently moved up from Melbourne to the rural propertyfor a 'lifestyle' change. Formerly we lived 7 kms out of Melbourne. Alister works 4 days per week in the city whilst Alison now lives on the property at Yea and considers every day a blessing with the beauty of the area. We moved here as we are keen bike riders and in the past have been riding route marshal volunteers for the Great Victorian Bike Ride; hence have seen A LOT of the Victorian countryside from a bike. Our reasons for moving to Yea were many fold but to have Bed and Breakfast accommodation close to the rail trail excited us, Having used AirBnB many times, in our travels in Australia and the UK mainly, on our bikes and at other times we felt it only natural to choose Airbnb as our first option. We love discovering new and exciting places, meeting interesting people, and personally being responsible for the environmental footprint we leave. Hence as hosts at Cheviot Glen we are trying to establish a sustainable attitude at the cottages. Alison loves to cook healthy good food and makes things as close from paddock to plate as possible. Alister loves eating it! We strive to uphold Christian values and one of them, a core value, is we strive to leave things as we would like to find them or better, and have a strange ritual of stripping beds in motel rooms before leaving to help the cleaning staff!
