There is no wifi we only have the pass word number for Thompson which was written, but unfortunately reception didn't reach the Cottage. The washing machine in the pics states....."Sorry not for guests use."It was damaged due to a guest blatantly using it prior to your booking. Also it was written on a card in the cottage that the machine, due to its age & scarcity of parts, was not for guest use, I did explain this on arrival, saying that it was presently being repaired & that the cost was climbing. Locally we have extremely good laundry services at very reasonable prices to accomodate peoples laundry needs. We rely on stored water as we live in the country & need to be vigilant in times of no rain. I have changed the wording relating to wifi....stating that there is no wifi available. I believe there is a device at a relatively low cost that can be put on a mobile for this,if people choose to purchase.or use a provider that has a stronger signal.
Via Graeme, I did mention this to your other guests soon after your arrival.
Feasibly it is not conducive for me to put in a connection & pay a monthly fee when I have so few Guests in a year.Thank you for mentioning that the cottage is very clean, I pride myself on that." With tongue in cheek," I could re iterate that Briarwood is "fashioned" after the era of the 50"s 60"s & 70"s & does state that on my site.I always try to give advise & answer Q's honestly & to the best of my ability.I can only apologise again re the lack of wifi signal,& ultra fast broadband fibre that this whole area lacks.I trust the rest of your N.Z stay was accomodating & enjoyable.
