A local artist couple's house with beautiful handcrafted interior in the centre of Seydisfjordur. Strandatindur mountain and a drizzling waterfall right in the backyard, offer a magnificent garden view. Ideal for couples or singles.
A spacious kitchen and living area with a cozy wood oven. Bathroom with bathtub/shower. To give your visit a true homy feeling, the friendly cat "Du" is at home and will welcome you there.
Besides our individual practises as artists we also work as designers, publishers and in woodworking. Our home is still in process since we like to gradually develop and refurbish all details, so there are still some old, un-renovated finishes here and there. We treasure a good atmosphere with handcrafted details and natural material.

The house has a sleeping room with a double bed equipped with a cozy double duvet and tv-screen. A nice spacious living room with a kitchen, dining area and small sofa + fireplace, a bathroom with bathtub/shower, hallway and entrance. One part of the house (behind the curtain in the hallway) is our studio, its a bit rough since it's undergoing renovation. You are welcome to have a peak in there to enjoy the good view from the window. Otherwise we expect guests to respect our personal belongings in there and to regard this part of the house, as well as the basement, as our private sphere.

Our small group of 5 Icelandic hens run free in the garden, always a joy to observe. They might leave something here and there outside to fertilize the soil...; )
Be friendly with the cat and please leave shoes in the front room. Treat the house like you would want others to treat yours.
My husbond Linus and I are a German/Danish artist couple living in Seydisfjördur, Iceland since 2012. We adore our life and surroundings here, and feel lucky to have found this speciel spot in the world as our base. We are engaged with many projects in town as entrepreneurs, designers and craftsmen, while gradually turning our house into the very special space we want it to be, simultaneously. I travel as an artist for inspiration and to develop new perspectives in my practise, occasionally I participate in design fairs around the world to present the project RÓ ( and enjoy to be able to stay at a real home away from home in comparison to a hotel.
Art, design, nature, animals, cultural diversity, good food and a natural lifestyle means a lot to me.
