Nestled on a beautiful hillside in Vermont, this 2 bedroom, private unit with kitchenette and full bath, is the perfect getaway.Beautifully appointed in an eclectic, comfortable style with an optimal location you will be able to enjoy all that Vermont has to offer -stay and relax on your private deck, walk the local trails, or travel 15 minutes to the capitol city of Montpelier for amazing food/shopping or take the beautiful 40 minute scenic drive to picturesque Stowe, VT to shop, dine or ski.
This three floor home is 5 star plus efficiency rated and was created with lumber milled on site - care has been taken to create a space with local natural elements. Our Air BNB space is located on the bottom floor and is easy to access with a private entrance and the whole unit is on one level. Local slate is used for countertops, a river stone sink in the bathroom and a debarked tree trunk is an integral part of the post system in this post and beam structure. The tile floor will radiate heat in the winter, giving a cozy feeling and will stay cool during the summer months because the lower unit is built into a hillside, so is naturally cooler.

Weitere wichtige Infos
This site is in lovely Worcester, VT - and cell service is at best, spotty. This can be a GREAT thing - an opportunity for you to unplug a bit etc... of course, if you want me to, I will give you a code for my Wifi so you will have internet access when you are here. I can also add you to my microcell if you need to be able to make phone calls but that is only done upon request.
Shoes and boots should be taken off when you are indoors, please.
Quiet times: Generally after 10pm on school nights- not silent- TV is fine etc... I am a public school teacher so I will be out by 6:30 in the morning but will leave my contact number in case you need anything. If you need a late arrival time, that is fine, I will leave the light on for you and I have a secure key box that you can unlock with a code I will provide to you.
Guests: It is expected that, generally speaking, only the guests who are registered with Air BNB are at the site. If you want to invite others to join you for dinner or overnight, please let me know.
Cleaning: Basic etiquette applies here- be respectful of the space and clean up after yourself to a reasonable degree. I am fine with washing a few dishes, emptying the trash, washing and changing sheets and towels, vacuuming etc... there is a broom/dustpan/damp mop for your convenience if you need them.
Please do not use the wood stove that is located behind the wooden screen. Your unit has cozy radiant floor heat with a thermostat that you control, so you don't need it - thanks!
I am happy to interact with guests but I work full time as a teacher so have limited access during school days. I will stay connected via text/email as much as possible. I also may be away on weekends, however, if I am at home, I am happy to greet you but will mostly keep to myself otherwise. I am available, though, to answer any questions you might have, guide you to local events, restaurants etc... and want your stay to be the best it can be.
I am a special educator who has been in public education for 30 years and I also serve as an educational consultant for an orphan home in Entebbe Uganda called Malayaka House. I travel there twice a year and the art throughout my Air BNB reflects my travels. I have four grown children and an elderly dachshund named Clifford who I adore. I am a native Vermonter and love to share my amazing setting with others - though I am a traveler and love to see the world, I treasure coming back to the Green Mountains.
