This unique apartment includes an inspiring collection of travel guide books and maps, including a special section on Vermont as well as a hand painted mountain themed bathroom with rain shower. Large windows set you up for spectacular sunsets and local walks and views are just steps away.
Plan your next trip to Europe, dream up an adventure in the Green Mountains and imagine yourself in the hills of Nepal! MapRest features the original maps to a 10,000 mile bike odyssey from Delhi India to Auckland New Zealand, as well as many postcards from that incredible journey.
Our 400 sq foot studio apartment is located in the lower level of our home with a private entrance, wifi, many windows, radiant heated floors, tiled shower, kitchen and private bath. The bathroom has unique handpainted mountain themed walls on clay plaster and a large walk in shower with tile and a rain shower head. On the same floor there is access to the washer and dryer. High thread count sheet, heated mattress pad and a memory foam mattress make for a cosy sleep on our quiet hillside. The studio is super clean, private and full of light.
It is possible to hear folks walking around on the floors above and we do have friendly black dog named Ruby and a Swiss mountain dog named Romeo.
Parking on site, storage for bikes and skiis as well as close access to Norwich University and the idyllic village of Northfield make this location a gem! A mile up the road is a spectacular vista of the Dog River Valley and the rolling green mountains beyond. Our home is surrounded by apples trees and green meadows.
Mountain biking is amazing at nearby Shaw Mountain Park and some of the best skiing in the country is a mere 30 minutes away in the Mad River Valley!
Bring your old maps to add to the collection and bring home a complimentary map of Vermont.
