Stayed in three Air BnB's in our Switzerland trip, and this was by far the worst. The listing description was not exactly wrong (other than Wifi was not provided), but it left out important details that could have provided the flavor of the place. Like the entrance to the building -- a dark alley which was filled with trash (in bins and out), human waste (yes, that kind), and shady people doing what shady people do in big city alleys. It felt risky to arrive just as the last light of dusk was leaving. Once inside, things improved. The unit was spacious (massive may have been an overstatement) and clean, though it felt like the occupant had just left, and his things filled the closets, the counters, and half the table and refrigerator. A bachelor, by the look of things.
Communication with our hosts was below the minimum required -- they never answered our inquiry about access to wifi, didn't provide any guidance (online or otherwise) to answer Q's about how to leave the apartment (we did our best to be respectful guests), and only provided entrance instructions after we reminded them of our upcoming arrival two days in advance.
