Engadine Inn and Cabins, Asheville's country retreat, is located a short, 15-minute drive from the City's urban center. Situated on 12-acres, we offer luxury accommodations and amenities in 6 fully furnished private mountain cabins and in the historic B&B Inn. Unique to Engadine are its spectacular views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. Engadine is convenient to the area's restaurants, attractions, music venues, microbreweries, arts and cultural facilities, recreation and shopping.

Der Wohnraum

The Blue Ridge Mountains Cabin at Engadine is a cozy retreat for a weekend getaway, a week-long vacation* or an extended stay*! This private cabin, reminiscent of a tiny house (only just a bit larger!) offers all of the comforts of home with the luxury amenities found in a hotel or inn.

Guests park directly outside of the cabin and enter from the covered porch, which is outfitted with small table and chairs... a great place from which to take in sunrise with a cup of coffee or to enjoy sunset with a glass of wine.

The living space is decorated in a "cabin chic" style and outfitted with comfortable furnishings, including a queen-sized sleeper sofa (linens provided) to accommodate guests #3 and #4.

Additionally, guests will enjoy a flat screen TV with basic cable, free secured WiFi, and a gas fire stove (operated seasonally from October 15 through March 15).

The kitchen is outfitted with a full complement of appliances... refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, drip coffee maker and toaster oven... as well as cooking utensils and service ware (flatware, glassware, plates, etc.) for preparing and serving meals. Cabinets and a pantry are also available for organizing and storing your provisions out of sight. A charcoal grill is also available adjacent to the cabin's porch.

The private bathroom offers (in addition to the toilet!) a tub with shower, a vanity area with plenty of cabinet space and a hairdryer. Bath towels (Turkish Towel Company) are provided, including black towels for make-up removal, as is a full complement of luxury bath products (Essential Elements "Bathe" soaps, shampoo, conditioner, etc.).

The bedroom offers a cozy queen-sized bed for guests #1 and #2. Guests will also find plenty of storage for luggage on a spacious window seat and in two wardrobe closets.

As the Blue Ridge Mountains Cabin is one of our pet friendly cabins, we also provide water and food bowls and "dog towels" for wiping Fido's dirty paws. (There is an additional charge of $25 per day for pets.)

For stays of more than 3 days, we offer a complimentary change out of bath towels upon request. For extended stays, weekly housekeeping is complimentary and includes a complete change of bed and bath linens. If you would prefer daily housekeeping, upon request there will be an additional charge of $25 per day.

* Discounts are available for stays of 7 days or longer. Contact us for more information.

My husband and I stayed at the pet-friendly cabin Blue Ridge Mtns Cabin which is truly a tiny house layout. It was totally suitable for two people with plenty of space for a weekend. We went in August. The porch faces that lovely knoll with the fire ring. It is a nice distance from the other cabins and the closest to the fire ring which we loved taking advantage of (wood bought at the Exxon down the street). If taking a pet, be aware that there is not much space for a medium or larger dog crate. The drive to downtown Asheville is truly only 15 minutes and we had no trouble popping in for dinner each day. Rick is super great with restaurant recommendations and we found the whole experience relaxing and easy going. It was excellent for a birthday getaway weekend.

This Zen mini cabin is within an easy 15-20 min drive to Ashville's fabulous sights, food and music. (Check out the The Laughing Seed Cafe on Wall Street for AMAZING vegetarian and other fare; Thursday evenings free for all Shindig on the Green introduction to the music of Appalachia and Bluegrass; and of course the many hikes to waterfalls like the Looking Glass on the way to Dupont State Park and much more). The little house had everything I needed, including a covered porch: the perfect outdoor "room with a view" for morning coffee, a romantic dinner or to make the most of a rainy afternoon. Enjoy the fire ring at the bottom of the hill and quiet walks around 12 beautiful acres of what used to be an old vineyard. I stayed with my GSP Kaiser and we both recommend this place highly. (He mainly for awesome nature smells, excellent nature TV (bunnies, birds and bugs) and lots of space to chase and catch the ball). Rick has been the perfect host. Many thanks!

What a great place to stay! Rick was fantastic; great communication and the cabin was exactly as described. Clean, comfortable and came well equipped in the kitchen/bathroom and even for the pup (towels, bowls and bags). Just out of town where it's close to the action but still quite with a great view of the mountains and the stars. We did not take advantage of eating breakfast at the Inn but it smelled so wonderful; won't pass that up next time. Looking forward to staying again!
