Tigh Mamo is outstanding. Breathtaking sea views, comfortable lodging, amazing location, and all the amenities you could need. It's really great for a family vacation as we stayed with four adults and a child and didn't even feel cramped. The best part is that you're if you book Tigh Mamo, you're getting more than just a home to stay in, you're getting an experience.
Situated on Padraig and Michelle's farm, the home is located in the completely idyllic farm country of Dun Chaoin. It's what you imagine in your mind of an Irish seaside farm. It's the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the Dingle Peninsula. Be warned, though, that you may not want to leave the sunroom as you will probably just want to sit, drink your coffee, and watch the waves.
If you're considering staying in Dingle, you should really think about staying here and getting away from the (excessive) crowds. Dingle is extremely crowded, especially in summertime, but Dun Chaoin, even though only a 20 minute drive away, is a completely different universe. You'll be glad if you decide to stay here.
The home itself is a very nice, very well cared for home with plenty of space and bedrooms for a family. A particularly nice twist is that each bedroom has a counter and sink, so family members can take their time with hygiene that requires sink and/or mirror. The home has plenty of equipment for cooking (we cooked a full breakfast most mornings). There's also a stove and fireplace that I'm sure are nice in winter. The house is well-furnished and has TONS of character. It really has everything you need.
Padraig and Michelle are attentive hosts and want to make sure you have what you need to enjoy your Dun Chaoin/Dingle Peninsula holiday. Tigh Mamo is the best AirBnB we've stayed at, don't miss it!
