We are a family of two parents and one child, who stayed at Susanne's apartment for one week the summer of 2017. The apartment is in a beautiful older building and really nice, with high ceilings and a spacious feeling. It consists of a long hall, a bedroom with a double bed, a living room with a sofa bed, a bathroom and a spacious kitchen which leads to a very nice balcony where we ate many of our meals.
The furnishing is tasteful and un-kitchy, with several beautiful old furniture pieces, and at the same time this is obviously a home where real people live, not some kind of display case. We liked it a lot.
Most of the apartment faces the back yard, wich has several large chestnuts growing in it and opens on Nymphenburger Strasse. Since there's a fair amount of traffic on that street, you know you're in a city, and you often hear ambulances since there's a hospital nearby, but the apartment isn't particularly noisy - we slept with open windows without problems. Indeed, if you need it quiter, you probably shouldn't go to a city at all.
For those who don't know Munich, Neuhausen is an attractive area with lots of nice cafes and restaurants, and for shopping, you'll find almost anything you need around Rotkreutzplatz. There's both a U-Bahn stop for two different lines and a lot of different trams and buses leaving from right around the corner. Street parking is permitted for non-residents in the area, but finding a free parking space can prove difficult. Since this is so central, you'll probably rather want to rely on public transport.
All practicalities went smoothly, and Susanne was attentive and helpful and answered all emails directly.
We enjoyed our stay a lot, and we hope we get the chance to live here on our next visit to Munich as well!
