I stayed with my family and extended family (a group of 10 people) at Ekta's place 'The Woods' and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights.
Location: ***** (5/5)
The location is perfect, right overlooking Bhimtal Lake and the terrace guarantee you among the best views in Bhimtal or I should say in Nainital.
Check-in: ***** (5/5)
Check-in was very smooth with a warm-welcome, hosts (Sanjay and Ekta) gave us clear indications on how to reach the place. Our stay started very well with smooth check-in as spacious and clean rooms were waiting for us, room size is quite big and the interiors are very good and very tastefully picked by the hosts.
Washrooms: ***** (5/5)
Bathrooms are quite big and sanitary items are of very good quality. They provide towels which as good as new, linens and comforters are also very clean and almost new.
Water in Bhimtal is very chilled, so geysers are installed there and are of enough quantity to give you a long shower with hot water.
Food: ***** * (6/5)
There is fully operational kitchen at 'The Woods' and they have rockstar cooks Kundan and Dileep. At first sight you wouldn't find a big fancy Menu but they cook anything and everything you ask for. We also got delighted with special matar-paneer cooked by Ekta and the sandwiches prepared by Sanjay. Sometimes hosts join the full time cooks to delight the guests with there special dishes.
Staff/Helpers/Cook: ***** (5/5)
Crew at 'The Woods' is very professional and every time we asked for something, we were served with a smile specially Kundan, he'll always be available to serve.
Overall, you'll get a very homely feel with good quality (and of-course tasty) food and heartfelt hospitality. Sanjay also helped us in booking the slots for paragliding and also to get some discount on the sports activities.
I would suggest the hosts to add more photos of the place as the current pictures do not justify the beauty of the place and the rooms/washrooms. We were overwhelmed that the location and rooms is even better than the advertised.
We are looking forward to have another trip to Nainital, so that we can enjoy this hospitality again. Thanks a lot to the hosts (Ekta and Sanjay) and the crew (Kundan and Dileep ) for making this trip memorable for all of us.
