Okay, I don't know where to begin. Let's begin with the cons: It is stated on their airbnb listing page that the essentials are part of the house, but once we had entered the house there was no toilet paper, no sponges for the dishes and no full adult sized towels (a couple guests had to buy their own towels, while the rest of us used the small tea towels). Ivana let us know a day before check-in that the last tenants had messed up the house pretty bad and that they had to re paint a wall, which was fine. But, as we entered the house, the bathroom door was broken downstairs, so there was no privacy for the 8 of us living in the house for the use of that bathroom for a week. The toilet rack downstairs was broken as well. The floor boards on the top floor were all broken, so we put clothes on top of them so they wouldn't hurt our bare feet. The washing machine didn't work. On top of all this, Ivana asked for a 300euro cash-in-hand deposit and tax (Ivana's logic of tax was 1euro a day from each person living in the house). Ivana had sent her house cleaner, Petra, to collect the money. We had told her that airbnb policy is strictly no cash, and money transfers are only dealt through airbnb. She had then responded that if you do not pay the bond & tax that we would not be able to stay in the house. I knew this all didn't sound right, so I had to contact airbnb support. Airbnb contacted Ivana and then decided to let us stay, which we were very appreciative as we were there for a music festival! One of the guests also broke a chair in the house as soon as he sat in it. None of us even got a chance to use the chair before it all of a sudden broke. We messaged Ivana straight away, with a response from her wanting cash-in-hand once again for the damages. This was later solved through airbnb.
Pros: The check-in was good and easy. The house is walking distance from the bus terminal. The wifi worked great. The communication with Ivana and Petra (house cleaner) was good. After speaking with airbnb & Ivana about the essentials, Petra supplied us with toilet paper & a hair drying (tea towels is all they had). There is food and shops walking distance. The local bus is walking distance. Ivana let us stay an extra night for no charge, which was great.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay and chose this house for the decent price. Though, after our experience, I don't think I would stay here again.
