MIJAS PUEBLO (TOWN) about 25 minutes from apartment, take the Motorway back towards Fuengirola and watch out for the sign to Mijas, it is really worth a visit. Good shopping !! lovely old Spanish town..
CABOPINO BEACH. Turn right onto the motorway and go about 3 kms, just past Calahonda, watch for the signs.. a family favourite.
ORANGE SQUARE MARBELLA..this is a lovely part of the “old town” of Marbella, head right along the motorway for about 12 kms till you get to the big “Coca Cola” on the left of the motorway, take the turn off here and head down to Marbella, go under the big MARBELLA sign, keep going until you get to a lot of greenery (park) on the left, slow down, turn up one of the little roads to the right that has the PARKING sign in blue, Takes you to the undergound parking garage. Ask directions to Orange Square from there..
PUERTO BANUS.. a few kms past Marbella. Parking under el Corte Inglais the large departmental store, walk to the harbour from there. Ask directions if needed. Also nice at night with all the lights etc. Puerto Banus is also known as ‘Little Monte Carlo’.
BENALMADENA HARBOUR head along the motorway back past Fuengirola, look for the sign to Benalmadena Costa, follow this road till you get to Benalmadena, ask for directions to the harbour, very nice to walk around here.
NERJA … takes just over an hours drive up the coast past Malaga. Go to the Balcon de Europa in Nerja, lovely scenery and a good place to visit.
EL TORCAL.. very interesting !! Check on the map, it is about 45 kms from Malaga, head towards Antequera and follow all the signs, well worth a visit too. A lovely day out. Stop for a meal in Antequera, there are lots of lovely restaurants in this town.
FUENGIROLA CASTLE…Well worth a visit. Lovely views from the top of the castle, originally built by the Phoenicians 1000BC.
SEVILLE, CORDOBA, GIBRALTER AND GRENADA ARE ALL WITHIN A DISTANCE FOR A DAY OUT VISIT…

p.s. If the cleaner cannot be present when you leave, please drop the apartment keys into the bathroom through the sliding window. Make sure you’ve first opened the security gate to the complex. ;-)

Llew made our stay very pleasant. He took good care of us from the second we booked the apartment until we left. Everything was in perfect condition and just as described. We did not miss anything. We spent a wonderful week in the apartment and enjoyed visiting a lot of nice areas around Cala de Mijas.

Thank you Llew! we had a wonderful time in Mijas and enjoyed great holidays there. The appartment was very clean, fully equiped (much more and better than expected) and had a magnificent view on the sea. It was very close to the beach and the pool was almost empty. Llew recommended us many places to visit and restaurants, we tried many of them and they were excellent.

Llew is a fantastic host offering advice and help for anything you need. The apartment is in a great location close to the beach and a short walk to Mijas centre with lovely restaurants. The apartment is quite close to a main road but you soon forget about this. Overall great place for the price!

Great views! The host is very helpful and prompt. The apartment was pretty nice but a bit tired. We were very disappointed not to be told the condo was for sale. Getting calls from agents and packing, cleaning for showing is not on my to do list when on holidays. Also they had a neighbour renovating their unit and problem with noise early morning. And then they started working on the exterior of the building. Every machinery. Grinding and more noise. Also the apartment could have been cleaner especially since they wanted clean tenants. Overall we enjoyed it because of the view, location and close enough to everything if you don't mind walking.

When Gil and Ivan arrived we told them the apartment was for sale. They even said that they had a friend who may be interested. As regards a neighbour renovating, unfortunately we have no control over that. According to the complex rules an owner can only renovate between October and March, Gil and Ivan were renting in January and February, during this time. As regards dating, we have a bit of a problem with this statement as the kitchen is modern as can be seen from the photos of the apartment. We concede that our lounge suite is dated, but putting a new lounge suite in is at the bottom of our list of priorities as we are wanting to sell. Furthermore, the very first guests we had in our apartment when the lounge suite was brand new they left it badly marked by sitting on the couch with suntan lotion. As a beach holiday apartment we still consider it to be adequate.
