Excellent location in the Downalong area of St Ives, close to beaches, the town, south-west coast path - couldn't be better and one street off the front, so not too busy. Bedrooms and lounge were great, clean and light. Unfortunately, the bathroom was damp and appeared grubby and there was a strange smell in the property. The flat is adjacent to a few other holiday properties and the shared bins are under the entrance - they were full when we arrived and smelt somewhat, even though the weather wasn't hot - maybe this was the cause of the smell. As other reviews parking was a challenge in peak season - the whole of the Downalong area appears to be rental properties and they all try to use the Island Car park and leave it there all week which is £7.50 per 24 hours (£47 per week). The Smeaten Pier car park had spaces from 6pm, but was £13.50 for 24 hours. If you are looking to leave your car somewhere safe and use it occasionally - then I would suggest (URL HIDDEN) which offers a transfer facility to and from your property and is just at the top of town - about a 15 minute walk uphill. Would definitely recommend St Ives and the downalong area. Leanna couldn't have been better with communication and information, but just check the smell and bathroom are resolved if that would worry you.

Sunnyside Cottage is a wonderful little flat, just steps away from the St Ives Harbour. On our first visit to Cornwall, we were pleasantly surprised by the proximity of the cottage to the the beaches and the bars/restaurants. The whole cottage is compact but still fits in four people very comfortably. Communication with Leanna and her partner was very helpful and prompt. We couldn't locate the key safe immediately but a quick call clarified the location and got us in very swiftly. The cottage is spotlessly clean and up around 7-8 steps. The extra toilet was a surprise and the beds are very comfortable. Do take your tea/coffee/sugar. There is a shop (Norway Stores) that has all basic amenities/food near the cottage, which we found after a couple of days and wandering all over!

The location was great as everything was within walking distance. And the apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. We had an excellent time and will definitely be back again.

This apartment is in a fantastic location in the "Downalong" area of St.Ives. It's a 3 minute walk to the lovely Porthgwidden beach, a small cove complete with beach bar/cafe. It's an even shorter walk down to the harbour area, with its wonderful selection of bars, restaurants and galleries. The apartment is as described; bedrooms and kitchenette are small, living area is bright and airy. We found the apartment to be spotless. Directions are accurate. The nearest car park is the Island - only a 3 minute walk. Throughout our stay, there was consistently a sign up saying "Car Park Full". However, we managed to find a space on all but one occasion. Next nearest car park is Barnoon - a 5-6 minute walk. Car park tickets can be purchased online on the (URL HIDDEN) website. It's worth noting that you can get a Season ticket for £37 a month (and claim a refund on any unused portion) that will cover 5 car parks in St.Ives. Much better value than the £47 per week Rover ticket (which also covers other car parks in Cornwall)! Overall, a very clean apartment in a fantastic location. We stayed with two teenage girls and had a great time. The only thing we found to be lacking was somewhere to hang/dry beachwear.

Enjoyed our stay, apartment nice and clean. We parked at Island car park first and walked to the apartment from there but found it little hard to find as the 'Sunnyside' sign was a little hard to spot. However, when driving the directions were reassuring as you have to drive along some narrow roads that look like they should be pedestrians only! Would like a bit more for my money but all in all a nice place to stay. Also couldn't find a hair dryer despite the listing saying there is one. Don't forget to take all your toiletries and any tea/coffee/milk you may want.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the flat and St Ives. The flat itself is located in a cozy, central part of St Ives with easy walking distance everywhere. Finding it was a little tricky for our taxi driver despite Leanna's directions but we got there in the end:) The flat was nice and clean and there was nothing we felt was missing, the internet was also very good. We recommend this place for any groups of 2-4 people who want to stay in a central but quiet area of St Ives.

A lovely apartment situated so close to the beach with nice restaurants and walks. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would stay again.
