El Taxón Nature Lodge was built in 2016 using traditional construction methods and it's located near Pueblo Tapao, in the heart of the coffee region, in what used to be part of a historic coffee hacienda. Today, this land is being reforested with native species and the largest collection of bamboo and guadua varieties in the country.
Hostal Taxón is ideal for students, naturalists, and travelers who enjoy the simple country lifestyle, natural surroundings and want to learn more about bamboo.
The rooms are basic but comfortable, built recently using the traditional construction techniques and materials from the region.
