All the best bits of camping – campfires, birdsong, and breathtaking scenery, combined with clean, dry, inspirational space, proper beds and a private toilet.
The brand new yurt is at the edge of a wood, with a great view and perfectly placed trees for a hammock.
Everything you need for a relaxing stay is included, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, Egyptian cotton bedding, towels, a wood burning stove and a firepit.
The yurt sleeps upto two adults and two children. There’s a Kingsize double bed and a double futon, with sheets, pillows and duvets for each.
Your own outdoor kitchen is provided for cooking and eating. This incudes a gas burner or firepit bbq for cooking, a sink and all the pans, cutlery and crockery you might need. Wood for the stove and charcoal for the BBQ are included.
The yurt itself is completely off grid. Candle lamps provide light, and the lack of light pollution makes for exceptional star gazing, though do bring a torch! Water is rolled in from the farm, with a pump tap for the sink.
Bore Place, where the yurt is located is an environmental charity and organic dairy farm, pioneering renewable energy and reconnection with the natural world and the production of food. As a working farm there are various hazards - ponds, farm machinery etc. If you have children please make sure you supervise them.
There’s your own private composting toilet, just behind the yurt, and toilets and a shower at the centre reception a couple of fields away (around 300m) open 9am - 5pm.
As the yurt is in it’s own secluded meadow, it’s not possible to drive cars right up to it. Luggage can be dropped about 150m away, and rolled to the yurt on our trolley. Cars can then be parked in the centre carpark, just near the toilets and shower.
Smoking is allowed outside, but not in the Yurt itself.

I'll meet you when you arrive, show you around and get you settled. Then I'll give you my mobile number in case you need anything during your stay.
We're on the edge of a number of nature reserves, so to preserve this special place we ask guests not play amplified music or enter any of the reserves, except on the marked paths.
