The apartment, located about 200m up from Elies restaurant at the end of Riza beach, is like your private villa on the Mediterranean. It is the top floor of a beautiful brand-new house, and it has everything you could possibly ask for, including a washing machine, a dishwasher, a fully equipped kitchen, and two bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. Every morning we ate our breakfast on the largest of the three balconies, looking at the water and the town of Kardamyli.
But the absolute best part was our hosts. Giorgios and his wife took care of us like we were family. We arrived at night and had a hard time finding the apartment, so Giorgios drove out to the town square to meet us. When we made it to the house, his wife handed us a still warm cake and a plate of baklava. Our fridge was stocked with fresh oranges to make orange juice for breakfast, and every day Giorgios treated us to more amazing food – produce from his garden to make our own Greek salad, grilled eggplant, and many other things. He even taught us how to make Greek coffee.
Thank you Giorgios and family for making this the best part of our Greek vacation!
