The owner strives to manage this property as environmentally sustainable as possible. A clean and safe home is provided for your enjoyment by using ecofriendly cleaning supplies and keeping a pet free environment. Guests are asked to recycle as much as possible, using the bins provided. All electricity usage is offset with Green Power credits. A portion of proceeds go to the Lake Fork Valley Conservancy, a local environmental non-profit working to protect local rivers and improve fisheries.
The owner has been a seasonal and full-time resident of Lake City since the mid 1960s and can help you with any issues that may arise, or offer recommendations for what to see and do in town. She chose to purchase this home because of its location, across the street from Lake Fork Memorial Park and close to the river. This area is special because the Lake Fork Valley Conservancy, which the owner manages, spent years planning and fundraising to improve the river for fisheries habitat and recreation. A signature feature is an amazing river terrace at the confluence of the Lake Fork and Henson Creek at the park. The area is now a wonderful gathering place with trails, gazebo, firepit, bocce court, and landscaping.

I have been a full-time resident of Lake City since 1995, but began vacationing here in 1966, spending the summers at our family cabin in the historic district in Lake City. I have hiked many of these mountains and fished the rivers, and now spend as much time as I can in my boat on the Lake Fork River and Lake San Cristobal. This place has always held a very special place in my heart. I feel so fortunate to be able to live here full time. My love for these mountains have directed my professional life and I now manage the local environmental non-profit, the Lake Fork Valley Conservancy, which aims to protect local rivers and signature landscapes. I will be happy to share my knowledge of the area with you while you are here, to make your experience as memorable as possible!
