Tigh na gCrann (House in the Trees) is a rustic house in a private, scenic setting close to Ventry village, 8km west of Dingle. The elevated site boasts spectacular views of Ventry Harbour & Dingle Bay with the Skeillig Rocks (of Star Wars fame), in the distance. The adjacent tree plantation & mature gardens contribute to the peace & seclusion of the site which is barely visible from the quiet, country road below. The house is on The Saints Path and adjacent to The Dingle Way walking trails.
The spacious house was built in 1991 and has tiles and wooden floors throughout. There is an eclectic mix of furniture and decor in the house which is heated by electricity and oil. There is also an open fireplace in the living room. There is ample parking to the rear of the house and a large patio area to the front which is paved with Indian sandstone and has a buschbeck BBQ and a concrete dining table and benches. Several sun loungers, deck chairs and camping tables are available for use in the garden shed and there is a trampoline in the garden for the children!

I am married to Conor and we have three children, Luke (13), Ellen (11) and Faye (8). We live in Fermoy, Co. Cork but we have strong ties to Co. Kerry. I am from Tralee and my husband's mother is from Dingle. I get to travel a lot for work but we take all our family holidays in Ventry; Tigh na gCrann is our holiday home. We usually spend most of the children's school holidays there. Outside of the holidays we like to go down for the Dingle Food Festival in September and Feile na Bealtaine (the May Festival). We enjoy the social life in Dingle town and having friends and family visit us at Tigh na gCrann. I love to run and there are great routes all around Ventry, many taking in the stunning beach. The children swim a lot and also attend summer sports camps in Dingle. As a family our favourite pastime in Dingle is probably eating! There are great places for families to dine. We especially love visiting the Farmers Market on Friday mornings during the summer for crepes and delicious lamb burgers! We will never tire of the stunning views, peace and seclusion of the house and hearing the same back from our guests makes us very happy hosts!
