My husband and I live in the homestead when we do not have a full house booking, in which case we move to our studio apartment above the detached garage with a completely private driveway and entrance and come and go quietly. We are available to our guests via phone/text when needed. We are happy to interact with our guest or if you just prefer to quietly wave that's just fine too.

Susan is originally from Australia and met her husband Patrick (from Michigan) while he was on assignment as a photographer for TimeLife. They moved back to the United States and to the beautiful Pacific North West in 2000 with their two children. In 2007 they rescued the old homestead on Fox Island and have spent 1000's of hours restoring the property to it's original character. We love sharing "Warratah" and it's story with our guests.
