Welcome to this wonderful condo nestled into the heart of Tahoe!

With multiple major mountains nearby, two downtowns to choose from, and the lake itself a mile away, there is plenty to see and do while visiting this central location of North Lake Tahoe!

The outdoors hot tub is communal (70m from condo)

Tahoe City, Kalifornien, Vereinigte Staaten

It's a safe neighborhood, directly between 2 downtown areas east and west. There is easy access to the lake, as well as mountains.

Dam Cafe - great brunch spot. Breakfast burritos are on point, supplemented with fresh baked goods.
Fire Sign Cafe - good / standard breakfast and lunch served. Great vibe.
Rosie's Cafe - great for breakfast / brunch with a huge menu.
Old Post Office Coffee Shop - more of a locals spot for bunch / lunch. Interesting menu and very much a diner feel.
Fat Cat Bar and Grill - good bar food, decent beers, moderate pricing for the area. Ski shot too, if you're daring.
Front Street Station Pizza - great mountain town pizza. Small place that can get very busy during peak dinner time. Consider ordering ahead!
Moe's original Bar B Que - good ribs for the area. Outdoor seating provides lakeside views and provides easy access to walk along the lake after. Rotating tap of beers.
Stony Ridge Uncommon Kitchen - Asian-American fusion. Sushi, sandos, salads, and noodle bowls are served at this eclectic restaurant.
Gar Woods Grill & Pier - a bit further down, but a nicer restaurant with interesting drinks. Hang out on the deck and soak in the views.
Pfeifer House Restaurant - Standard German fare, but definitely pricey.
Christy Hill - Fine dining for Tahoe with a price tag that matches their food.
Tahoe City Sushi - can't personally recommend since I've never been, but was touted as a good sushi spot for the area.

SiPS - If you like craft beer, go to SiPS next to Fat Cat, no question about it. Great dive bar culture in a liquor store with unique / hard to find beers, and the tap is cheap! Definitely the locals spot.
Tahoe Tap Haus - standard fare and standard food w/ local beers.
Chambers Landing Bar & Grill - Head here if you do make it down to Emerald Bay in the summer. It's the oldest bar in Lake Tahoe with good frozen punch.
My other recommendations would be wrapped up in the food list above.

Commons Beach - At the heart of Tahoe City and is very accessible. Nice beach feel with pop-ups happening frequently in the summertime, such as watercraft rentals and a farmer's market.
Lake Forest Beach - definitely a less traveled locals spot. Includes a secluded a picnic table on the beach for a beautiful and intimate lakeside picnic. There is also a nice grassy spot to play and relax.
Skylandia - Alternative to Lake Forest, providing a bit more beach space and amenities (i.e. more picnic tables and a dock).
Sand Harbor - Nevada side, and a bit of a drive, but a very beautiful spot. If you plan to get there after 9:30am in the summer, you likely won't get parking. Park at Incline Village instead and take the Sand Harbor Shuttle for $4 round trip.
Kings Beach - Eastern side of Tahoe, with a nice downtown area as well. I'll provide more info when I go to visit!
Emerald Bay State Park - If you're up for a bit of a ride / adventure down to South Lake for iconic and picturesque views, do check this cove out! Park in the lot or along 89, and hike your way down to a chill beach and Vikingsholm. Bonus points if you can rent some water craft to get on Fannette island.

Eagle Rock Hiking Trail Homewood - .5 mile - Easiest bang for your hiking buck. If you want a quick ascent to some spectacular views, go here.
Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) - loops around the entire lake, with plenty of intersecting trails to shorten the hike. There's a great entry point in Tahoe City.
Painted Rock Loop via TRT - 18 mile loop - example of a smaller loop on the TRT, which has an entry point close to the condo. Take a look at mtbproject's website by Googling this trail.
Fiberboard Freeway - 16-20 mile - Moderate-strenuous trail at the start that goes from Tahoe City to 267, which is 80% paved. Recommended to take 16N71 connector or TRT in Tahoe City for a bit easier start.

There are plenty of resorts to choose from: Squaw, Northstar, Diamond, Mt. Rose, Sugar Bowl, Homewood, Heavenly.
Check Squaw and Northstar websites for seasonal amenities (including summer!).

Tahoe Art Haus and Cinema - awesome movie spot in Tahoe City (only plays one movie), but good vibe, lounging, and craft beer
Magic Carpet Golf - in Carnelian Bay and open on the weekends. Cute obstacles at each hole; great for the family.
Tahoe City Marina - rentals for all your water sport needs during the warmer months.
