A cozy retreat in the heart of this beautiful, historic, art-lovers paradise. The first limestone rock house built in Spring City in the early 1850’s by a Danish Sea Captain, Paul Kofford. Recently remodeled with a colorful, bohemian-vibe. The house sits on .5 acre with garden spaces, lawn and plenty of trees for shade. At night, feel free to set up an outdoor fire and enjoy the fresh air and bright stars. Located on Main Street it’s a close walk to art studios, cafes or a walk up the canyon.
The house is a cozy 900 square feet and sits on a grassy .5 acre property on historic Spring City Main Street. The main part of the home (living room and bedroom) is original to the 1850s Danish pioneer rock home. The kitchen and bathroom were added in the 1990s. The living room fireplace is the first and only fireplace built in the rock pioneer homes. The living room floor boards are original - see the hand-split wood and hand-carved nails. The bedroom was once two bedrooms - amazing to think of the original Danish family raising, I've been told, 11 children here.
The space is perfect to do anything or nothing -- ideal for a solo or couple's getaway - also available to host small workshops and events. Visiting families will enjoy the city park just a block east and the huge lawn to run around. A short drive to Mount Pleasant during summer months to visit the drive-in movie theater, head up the canyon for a hike, catch a rodeo or visit stock car races.

I work for a global children's non-profit where we connect kids around the world to make social good projects happen. I'm head over heels for my 9 year old son and my mini-wolf. We love to get outside and howl at the moon whenever we can.
