Be our guest, if only for one night, and enjoy a peaceful country atmosphere in a Bohemian barn style farmhouse 20 minutes outside of Cape Girardeau. We have a garden you can eat fresh vegetables from- when available ( we love home cooked foods and fresh baked breads), a picturesque landscape with a pond and forests, chickens, guineas and four runner ducks, Blanco the cat, a Great Dane and a Great Pyrenees.
Welcome! The house was built by the owner and has a uniqueness to it that we'd like to preserve. You'll find antique furnishings mixed with the modern, a plethora of books, lots of space to sit, relax, converse and be merry.
If you must smoke, please do so away from the house and put your butts out and into the garbage.
We love to cook, our household is vegetarian. We have a fridge available if you have any meat products, and specific Kitchen utensils to use for meat. We do recommend, if you choose, to share a vegetarian/ vegan meal with us for the experience.
Please be aware that this is the country and so there are ticks, bugs, spiders and snakes (the snakes stay closer to the pond but you may see a garter or king snake around the house every now and then). Shake your beddings before going to bed, shake out your shoes before putting them on- country life!
Eat anything out of the garden, make yourself at home.
Parties should be discussed clearly before making arrangements.
We welcome alcohol, but please drink responsibly and respectfully.

My partner and I are local farmers in the Southeast Missouri area. We have chickens, ducks, guineas, two "great" dogs- a Dane and a Pyrenees. We love community, game nights, nature exploration- I'm kind of a hot springs expert (I tend to go seeking them ).
