Mark. Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate that it can be challenging to write a review when you feel a property has not met your expectations so I appreciate the time you’ve taken to do so. Please be assured that your message has been received and your comments considered and some of them will be implemented. The property is on a lake, not near a lake. The house itself does not sit immediately adjacent to the lake but it is steps away from the bank of the lake The listing identifies that a large patio is near the bank. The patio provides great views of the water and is described as such. The patio and the porch that is adjacent to the patio is enjoyed by guests, especially during the summer months, and earn us many positive comments. While I don’t think the listing suggests that great views of the water are available from the various rooms of the house, you may have found the name of the property, Nashua Lake House, to suggest that. That wasn’t our intention and I will consider modifying the listing to ensure others have a clear understanding of the benefits of the property. You are correct that there is a concrete area between the house and the patio and which provides an off street area to park, but I don’t think it’s of a size to be called a parking lot—some groups staying with us need to park some vehicles on the street. As for the “overstocked” kitchen, I can understand your comment since, I think, you were a party of one. Many families rent the property and also entertain a larger group (often on the waterfront). You are correct that this property is not set up as efficiently (i.e. 4 plates, four forks, two pots, one fry pans) as hotel efficiencies are furnished. Often, we are thanked for ensuring that the kitchen contains many items but if you were looking for an efficiency, that wouldn’t be us ! We certainly have a vintage feel through the furnishings and we try to reflect this in the pictures posted in the listing. Some people love vintage; others prefer the sleek lines of modern and a more minimalist approach. Various opinions on the “best” style of furnishings are good! You’ve also recognized that the bathroom, while updated within the last five years, is showing some wear. We have scheduled to put in subway tile on the lower half of the walls over the winter, for an example of how we are addressing this. As for the internet, I think we have the fastest speed available in the community but I will contact the provider to see if there are issues. Again, I do appreciate your feedback; it allows us to get better at what we do and requires us to evaluate furnishings at the end of the season with “fresh eyes.” Please know that we appreciate both your stay and your feedback. Wishing you the best!
