The Vineyard Mansion was built, in 1890, by the famed architectural firm of Eckel and Mann for B. R. Vineyard, a prominent attorney in St. Joseph, MO. Although divided into apartments in the 1940's, this Romanesque Revival style mansion has been meticulously restored back to its original use. We are proud to offer the Crown Room, a unique alternative to a hotel room, offering the privacy and comfort of a home away from home, enveloped in the grandeur and elegance of the Gilded Age.
The cozy Crown Room features original, hardwood floors, a queen-size bed, seating area, fireplace, and private-access to the hall bath. Additionally, the room is filled with beautiful, antique furnishings, hardware, and treasures, as well as period-appropriate art.
Zugang für Gäste
Guests of the Vineyard Mansion enjoy access to the public areas of the main house, including the parlor, dining room, billiard room, and foyer, as well as the gardens/grounds.
Interaktion mit Gästen
If you want privacy or interaction we can accommodate both. We are also happy to provide guests with a brief tour and history of the property.
