Kara's Kozy Bungalow ~ Close to Downtown, Beautifully Decorated & Very Quiet!
I own a very busy bed and breakfast, locally and since I love to travel and have a beautiful home, I created this listing for overflow guests at Kara's Kottage looking for a lovely space to stay while visiting the area.
So long as guests are ok with the layout of the house and the fact that the upstairs is host to other travelers, they are welcome here!
This is my residence. I live in a 2 story bungalow with a finished basement where I keep my 2 cats when I rent out the first floor, where I live. The second floor is dedicated to guests of my "Douglas Fir" Kottage and nicely separated from the first floor by a door. All guests enter into the kitchen with a keycode where there are 3 doors leading to all 3 floors. This detail gives each space lots of privacy. The house is quite sound proof too. The kitchen is not shared and only used by guests who rent the main floor. The back deck off of the kitchen is open to all guests, but the main floor also has it's own screened in porch on the front of the house, so there are plenty of outdoor spaces to go around.
Zugang für Gäste
The entire first floor is yours to enjoy as well as all of the outdoor spaces. The guests upstairs do not share any of the interior spaces with you with the exception of access from the back door to their door leading them upstairs (about 4 steps away). The deck space off of the kitchen is shared by guests of both spaces.
Interaktion mit Gästen
My interactions with guests are minimal.

Kara is a Michigan native with an appreciation for nature, a passion for good design and a love for historic homes. She moved to Kalamazoo from the shores of Lake Michigan in 1990 to attend college. She remained in Kalamazoo because of it's youthful energy, amazing people and an up and coming direction which has since been realized. When she's not combing the earth for treasures to use in her sweet kottages and working on DIY projects, she's often found running, cross country skiing, biking, kayaking and traveling.
