Bright, old apartment in Wicker park. Steps from shops, restaurants and bars, 2 blocks from subway leading to downtown.
If you're looking for a place with stainless appliances, granite countertops and new furniture from target you'll be disappointed. If you like old, quirky/cute places in a quirky/cute part of town then you'll love it here!
You'll be less than a block away from Wicker Park's Division Street, known for it's outdoor bars, restaurants and cafes.
A 3 minute walk takes you to Milwaukee St, home of Wicker Park's weird vintage shops, books stores, coffee houses, punk bars, and new bourgie haunts.
The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the Blue Line Division Stop, taking you directly to the airport in 30 minutes and the Loop in 6.
On the corner is the 70 bus, which drops you off near the lake (bring your swimsuit!).
The Kennedy (I90-94) is 5 minutes away, and if you're driving I can direct you to areas with free street parking.
My boyfriend is a walking encylopedia of all things Chicago, he geeked out over making a mini guide for my guests, and if you have any questions during your stay just ask!
I try to be the best deal in the neighborhood, if you still need something for less... the hostel on our block charges about $113 / night on the weekend for an 8' x 10' room with a bunkbed and no bathroom.
