Overlooking the garden of our large Victorian terraced house this single room is fabulously comfortable and many friends, over the years, have said that they have had their best nights' sleep here. Although we are within a stone's throw of a busy High Road (lots of shops, eateries and a wide choice of transport links) you are more likely to be woken by birdsong than city sounds. The bedroom faces west so that the evening sun floods the room in a warm light.
Right next to the bedroom is a bathroom (with bath and shower) which is shared with one other person.
Downstairs, the kitchen has everything you will need to accommodate your stay.
Guests may smoke in the garden or the kitchen (if it's too cold or wet), but not in the bedroom.
The bathroom and the kitchen are both kept clean and tidy and guests are expected to leave both rooms as they find them, within reason.
I am Ursula. I live here in London with my husband and two adult children.
Our flat here has been occupied by a lovely couple for the last seven years - they came for six months, but stayed on and got married in the process!
Now that they have flown our nest we decided to re-vamp and use the space a bit more flexibly - hence this listing.
It has also given me an opportunity and excuse to go shopping more often in Portobello Road for bits and pieces so there is always plenty to look at.
