Coombe Farm is ideal for family celebrations and holidays for up to 12 guests, of all ages. Adjacent Vine Cottage offers additional space for a couple. A peaceful setting in a beautiful valley surrounded by 64 acres of vineyards, orchards and pasture. The sandy beaches of Bantham, Bigbury-on-Sea and Thurlestone are less than 5 miles away, and the nearby natural harbours of Salcombe and the River Yealm offer sheltered waters for sailing and other watersports. Dartmoor National Park is nearby.

Guests are free to enjoy all of the 64 acre Calancombe Estate comprising pastures, home to our White Faced Dartmoor sheep and Red Devon cattle, vineyards and orchards, with far-reaching view across the local countryside. From 2017, we will be making wine and gin on the Estate and guests are welcome to watch activities....

We live in the farmhouse just down the valley from Coombe Farm and are usually around to help in any way we can, to ensure guests have a lovely stay.

Coombe Farm is a lovely space and great for a group. The location is wonderful, hilly of course, but stunning views. The cinema room is sweet and a lovely touch. (There's a very good selection of DVDs but no on-line movie streaming- probably because of the internet in that area). The sound systems are outdated but there are good TVs everywhere. As a group of adults the pool didn't work for us as it was small but I'm sure kids would absolutely love it. Lance was on hand at the weekend to help with queries and came up to the house very quickly when required. While it was a great space and no one felt on top of each other, we all felt the place lacked some attention to detail. Certain essentials were missing which would have made this place a really great find. Hopefully Lance is onto it! If these are sorted I would highly recommend Coombe Farm. When the distillery is open and the wine is in production (very soon!) it will be an added bonus to staying there.

Thank you for your constructive feedback. As we begin a quieter season, we will tackle a list of tasks that we have been unable to undertake during the continuous occupancy over the summer season. This will include some upgrading of the entertainment systems and some work making good the décor and some of the amenities too, which come in for a degree of wear and tear, as you will appreciate. Wine is in production already - but just the growing of the essential element, the grapes...! Harvest will take place later this month.

Wonderful accommodation in a beautiful countryside setting. Great location for exploring Devon. Lance was very attentive to ensure our stay was just right.
