Firstly, the building was listed prior to your arrival. The late checkout was agreed to depending on any future bookings. A viewing of the cottage was requested during your stay. Yes we asked if that was agreeable but you said no. We respected your decision. No issue there, but we rearranged the showing for the departure date and indicated you would need to leave at the normal check out time because we had to reschedule the viewing...you should not be complaining that you had to leave at the normal checkout time! We made it clear that a late check out was contingent on any subsequent booking...the showing was a subsequent booking...we feel you have no right to complain about having to leave at the normal check out time when we made it clear that a showing had to be rescheduled. You were not asked to leave early. You were asked to adhere to the normal check out time Yes we were finishing upgrades...for your convenience as well as for the listing....however we did ask if it was alright with you...we were willing to leave the shower unfinished...you agreed we should (Website hidden by Airbnb) was a matter of 30 minutes. We have no control over curious neighbours. Yes selling is on our minds, but we respected your privacy, did not allow a showing, and simply said you had to leave at the normal check out time. I resent you trying to make us sound like unreasonable hosts. That is not the case. You paid for the rental of our cottage for a determined length of time. You received what you paid for. End of story.
