This property needs a lot of work. It is a good price but you get what you pay for. Problems I had are; smells bad (cat urine everywhere), soiled linens and bath towels (rust stains and not clean towels), I refused to use those towels on my body (air dry), 5-6 inch spiders and lots of ants, rusty broken toilet seat and shower (smelled like cat urine in shower), kitchen drawers and cabinets smell horrible (old and moldy), A/C was temperamental (went out 3 different times), one night I had NO A/C, and NO running water the first 7 hours I was there. I also purchased $2500 pesos worth of cleaning supplies and air fresheners (candles, plug-ins, incense, fabuloso, bleach spray, dish washing liquid, Febreeze) The pool was filled with frogs, fish, snakes, and debris when I arrived but it was cleaned by day 4 of a seven day stay and turned out nice.
The house has potential to be great but the owners have not invested the time or money to have it professionally cared for. The guardsman were great ( Tony and Abel), they helped out every time I needed something but all of the problems were due to the owners not preparing the home before I arrived. Lastly, there is a guy who lives upstairs and I asked before I arrived would I be alone and the property owner said yes but he was there. Well the guy NEVER spoke would always walk around in his boxers and NO shirt (AWKWARD). Every time I got in the pool he would come and watch me from the balcony.
The owners were very responsive but when there are a lot of issues and you the guest feel like a burden when you have to consistently ask them to get rid the cats, do something about the smells, A/C not working, TV not working, bugs, etc. I hired a maid to clean daily and she did not want to clean their property without compensation. It needed a deep cleaning of drawers and cabinets, furniture, etc.
Its a good bang for your buck but please beware of the unexpected problems I had.
