Although The Cabin is set right in the heart of this very popular coastal town and just minutes from the many local amenities cafe's and restaurants, it is quietly tucked away from the main hustle and bustle of The Quay in a peaceful residential backwater. One of the absolute delights of the cottage is its pretty and surprisingly spacious 'secret' courtyard walled garden - a great spot for enjoying a relaxing breakfast in the morning sun, or drinks and dining alfresco on a warm summer's evening when everyone can catch up with all the day's events. Access to the adjoining garage is an added bonus in this busy town where parking is at a premium, especially in the summer months.
From the front door you can see down to the sea and The Quay. Here you can do a spot of crabbing or 'gillying', sample some of the best fish and chips around, or join the North Norfolk Coastal Path and take a leisurely stroll to Wells beach with its wonderful array of colourful beach huts, stopping at the Beach Cafe on the way. Recently voted the best-dog friendly cafe, it is a must if you a bringing your four-legged friend with you on holiday!
Wells-next-the-sea is a charming, traditional seaside town with sandy beaches protected by a pinewood forest. A visit to Wells wouldn't be complete without trying your luck at a spot of crabbing on the quayside, or simply relaxing and watching the world go by whilst sampling the best in local fish and chip cuisine. Bicycle hire is available on the quay side. Great local pubs include The Crown Inn, The Globe in Wells and The Victoria at Holkham is close by. Take the little train to the beach where you can while away a day in the sunshine! If you want to see the seals head to Blakeney or Morston to see the seals.
If you want to explore further afield and leave the car behind, take the Coasthopper bus - there are two bus stops in the town - which will take you to all the coastal villages from Cromer to Hunstanton.
