Free range wild 'Bivy' camping in our peaceful and beautiful field in the South Downs National Park. With only 4 spots allowed at any one time, there is plenty of space for you to decide where to pitch your tent away from any others. There is access to fresh water and you have your own personal non chemical portable toilet. There is no electricity so you can enjoy a wonderful wild camping experience. You can bring your own Bivy tent or book the complete wild camp option.
The top area of a very large field, surrounded by farmland and woodland. There is plenty of opportunity for enjoying the West Sussex countryside on foot or by bike. Parking is a short walk away and wheelbarrows are provided to transport your gear from the car park to the site. A portable wood-fuelled camping ‘rocket stove’ and a bag of logs is provided, with more available on request at a cost of £10 per bag. We also provide an 80 litre water container which can be filled from a tap in the field. A bonfire camp fire kettle and a dutch oven. One end of the field (nearest the car parking area) has 4 yurts and a slightly larger yurt for events, but these are well away from the free range camping area and will not intrude on your camping experience.

Wild camping is a self-sufficient stay with everything you need, in case of emergencies there is an on site manager at Night Pastures.

Night Pastures Wild Camping is on a working family farm so please respect the Country Code at all times. There is also a large pond near the camping that you would need to be aware of if travelling with small children. You will be provided with wood cut to size for your wood burning stove. If you're arriving by train, it's advisable to get your shopping done in advance, as nearest shop to the farm is 10 minutes drive.
