Skellig Coast Country House is nestled beneath Coomaneaspig Mountain which lies to the South and breathtaking views of The Skellig Islands, Puffin Island and The Kerry Cliffs are to the West. I provide a Free Pass to all visitors to The Kerry Cliffs where my guests can stroll and relax and take in the spectacular scenery.
In fact, there are beautiful views all around my home. To the North, you can see Valentia Island and on a clear day, The Blasket Islands, off The Dingle Peninsula in the distance. To the East, there is a panaromic view of Portmagee Harbour, Valentia Island and the coastline of The Wild Atlantic Way stretching to Cahersiveen. Indeed we are also positioned on the Skellig Ring, recently voted one of the Top 10 Regions to visit in the World by The Lonely Planet.

I will be available to greet and welcome all guests the majority of the time. I can provide you with local knowledge on Skellig trips, walking trails and shops/pubs/restaurants. Portmagee village is only a short walk/cycle away (1 mile). The Bridge Bar/Moorings Restaurant and The Fisherman's Bar offer a variety of succulent meals including fresh fish and shellfish caught by the local fishermen. Feel free to walk down the pier in the evenings and experience the fishing boats and trawlers steam in to port.

I was born and reared in Portmagee. I am an active member of the community. I teach Maths, Science and Chemistry in Colaiste Na Sceilge in Cahersiveen. I have 3 Blue Meryl Sheep Dogs and we love going for walks on Valentia Island and along Reenroe Beach.
